it’s sad you have to crack your legit copy to have access to this patch… wtf Microsoft? release this shit already
It is sad, no question about it. But then, that’s a matter of whether or not you feel entitled to this content or not. I find that I inadvertedly do, good reason or no. I’m a little bitter because of all this waiting on pc patches I guess. I am also grateful that the game exists on pc. But now that it does, I’ve gotten over that, and I expect support just like anyone would. I’m still contemplating importing my console. …it’s never going to get better than this. I see no effort for improvement on capcom’s part. And every time a patch hits on console, I invariably feel as though I should get that patch for my game, and at the same time.
Do you really need to crack this? What if I just simply turn my net off and just make an offline account? Will that be just fine?
Never mind. I’ll just wait. -_-
I have found out the patch works for the Steam version.
You have to point it to the street fighter x tekken folder inside the steam folder and it will install…of course you are unable to log into gfwl after that, but if you want to play online or something you can just verify cache and it will be back to normal!
I think that works too
You don’t have to do any of those complicated things really. I tried it with a fresh non-Steam install and my official Steam install. The update ran fine on both without a hitch (besides the obvious version check error making it unable to log on GFWL) without additional modification required. If you are using the Steam version, just run a verification check and it will redownload all the files 1.06 patch overwrote to roll back to 1.02.
You don’t need a crack and also an offline profile. Just turn off the net and you can use your usual online profile (but in offline mode) to play.
hahaha, beat you by 3 minutes to post that
Ok I patched the game. There isn’t much of a consequence other than not being able to login to LIVE. That’s OK, I’m still finishing Assassin’s Creed III anyway. At least I’ll be able to practice the new frame data.
I might be forced to leave xbox and become a pc warrior soon. I know the pc community hasn’t been treated well in regards to sfxt, but what are the chances pc will get the latest patch together with the consoles January 29.?

Getting the 2013 in time is near impossible. Version 1.06 is yet to be released officially, although it can be downloaded manually as we speak.
I was hoping Capcom would try to get the PC version up to par with this coming update, but I guess not huh? It’s just sad to practice the former version, especially with the major updates that are coming! No statement from Capcom regarding this issue?

AE pc got latest patch about 8 months after consoles as i remember
at this point why did they even bothered with patch 1.06 when they could’ve released v2013 straight up in 1 month from now
Capcom botched this PC version in the worst way possible. a small irrational part of me hopes the netcode is still fubar so i don’t have to bother with this game ever again (patches or no patches), since it was a cascade of disappointment so far.
they get assets from jp team only after its been released on consoles.
why-fuck knows.
assets should require very little work to add to the PC version… the game engine is already done and stable, everything else are static files
hell, we had modders backporting SFxT console DLC costumes to PC many months ago… and they do hexediting by hand and have no official tools to work the console files
I’ve heard them shift the blame to Microsoft/Steam taking a long time to give the thumbs up for releasing the content.
You’d think if the Xbox version got an update, doing the same to the PC version wouldn’t take a year and then some.
Someone tries to reason logically about capcom. Beep, error: does not compute.
XD Yeah. I only noticed it after I posted. #1 Canadian Internet.
do you have a link to this patch that works with steam? thanks.
steam games have their own patch system, so you have to wait.
but if you can get a hand on a disc version of the game… the gamekey which is provided by steam also works with the retail version.
