aquashark already posted a download link for it. and after the “dlc is already on the disc”-shitstorm they excluded the dlc content from the pc version. so this patch actually includes all the dlc character data, that’s why it’s so big.
I think I’ll be downloading that if that’s the case. Hopefully it’s resumable if I use DownThemAll in Firefox.
Having on-disc DLC is not a bad idea after all. If we only have the DLC on the disc, the update might not take this long.
Maybe the DLC purchase is tied with our GFWL accounts, which are server-sided. That’s probably the reason why the DLC cannot be pirated and the reason why Capcom let their games run on GFWL.
By the way, is GFWL capable of resuming patch processes? 807 MB might take half of my day to complete. 
I want to take advantage of the mid-week madness deal but I need to know one thing before I make the purchase. Are the DLC characters already included in the PC version?
No. They’re being added with the 1.06 patch.
If you buy it you would need to wait for the official release of the 1.06 patch and purchase them on Steam.
Or be a dirt pirate and download the patch elsewhere and the retail disc.
And then go ever dirtier and download the under 100kb file that is needed to fully access the DLC characters.
Pirates however still have not achieved access to any of the other DLC and can’t play online.
I’ve been saying this all along, I knew this would happen.

Can you imagine the uproar it would cause if the people that don’t buy the DLC characters were not able to play against the ones that had bought them?
Also meaning if you buy them you wouldn’t be able to play against people who hadn’t.
It’s a good time to pick up SFxT for cheap on PC. DLC patch and hopefully Ver.2013 follows soonish after it goes live on consoles. Cheers.
I might as well buy it for the PC. I’ve barely touched my 360 version now that I no longer have Live.
I’d still wait for user comments when the patch goes live. if the netcode is still broken you’d be wasting money on this.
on the other hand… it’s only 10 bucks.

My friends and I bought the PC version but we cant get 2vs2 to work in endless lobbies. It just sits on “waiting for players” and one of us has to disconnect. 2vs1 and 1vs1 work fine. Anyone know how to fix this?
steps on how to play 2v2 on pc version:
1)2 people in lobby create first team
2)first team starts 2v1 match vs other guy
3)2 guys join the lobby while 2v1 match is being played, and create second team
4)profit.
- Host can partner up with anyone.
2)the other team has to partner up via Partner settings BEFORE joining the looby.
3)done
If I install the patch, is there a hassle-free way for me to roll it back to 1.02 so I could play online? I would like to try the nerfs and boosts implemented but it might kill my online connectivity until it is implemented.
You can probably make a backup copy of the original version. I would suggest just waiting for the patch to release officially. As it probably aint THAT long.
You ever find out? Wanna know too. Preferrably without having to try the lengthy process myself, and possibly botching a clean install or even my legitimate cd key.
I am almost certain its not possible.
Pretty sure your only options are…
- Download patch and update game, then use “crack” to test the game until you hear its been officially patched and delete the “crack”
- Download patch and update game, then use “crack” to test the game and after testing uninstall the whole game and reinstall with 1.02 patch to play again.
- Wait until patch is officially out and avoid all headaches.
I would go with option 1 myself as it gives you some time to adjust to the changes (although kills any chance of playing online until its officially out)
