Hi, I was wondering if someone knows if my graphic card on my laptop is good enough to run sf iv. Cause I can’t really afford a ps3 and don’t have a joystick for the 360 for the moment so PC is my best way, so I hope.
My laptop isn’t that bad my the graphic card is what makes me worries. I Have an Acer Aspire 5100 with a AMD turion 64 dual-core 1.6GHz, 4 gig DDR (-256MB for the graphic card) and an integrated ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 card with 256MB of shared memory.
What do you guys thinks? Sometimes it plays youtube clip slowly and sometimes it bugs. I can though play HD 720p blu ray rips without problems except some slow down from time to time.
Why don’t you just play on a pad (in the meantime) for your 360? Save up for a stick later on.
I started off on a pad and improved a whole ton. I eased onto stick recently, and the transition has been pretty smooth. It only took a couple of hours for me to start busting out SRK > FADC > Ultra with my Ryu on a stick.
what game from that list has similar specs to street fighter IV. I did a test run with devil may cry 4 on my laptop and it told me i need a new video card.
Wow, that’s exactly what i was looking for! You’re a genius but as blklightning asked, what game I should compare it to? I tried Doom 3, no problem, but with Devil may cry 4, Call of Duty: World at war, GTA IV" it failed. Failed on the
“Vertex Shader Ver.: Required - 3.0 , You have - 2.0
Pixel Shader Ver.: Required - 3.0 , You have - 2.0”
Call of Duty: World at war requiers the same video card with the same amount of memory than SF IV, so I guess that’s the best test (video card speaking). As for the other requierements, you can simply tell with your configuration.
I think SFIV needs Shader 3.0, so no good for you. Plus, integrated graphics card suck. Gateway’s gaming laptops should run it just fine, which my brother has and has played a lot of new games just fine.
dammit it failed the vid card…so does that mean i can’t play it on my laptop. I have 2.0ghz rated at 5.08 ghz, 4 gb of ram and a lot of hdd space… the vid card is from intel and i think its built on the motherboard. that is crap man I wanna bring my laptop around and challenge some of my friends to sf4 or be able to play it while im out of the country…man might as well save a for gateway or dell xps. Well I’m going to give it a try to see what happens
