If you buy AC with the guide you get 30% off the guide at EB
I love this guide. Only problem was the pushy employees at Gamestop wanting me to reserve AC.
What is AC?
i have to add this sentance to be 20 characters
AC= Air Conditioner
AC= Awesome Clown
AC= Accelerating Current
AC= Anniversary Collection
just wondering if this is only worth getting if u plan on getting AC. i only have a DC (no ps2 or xbox) and thus want to know if the info in there is only useful for AC or if it can be applied to the DC versions of 3S and ST.
They didn’t have it at my local GameStop, so I went to EB. Didn’t make a differance, the clerk kept giving my shit about how the game isn’t out yet, and that I should wait so I could get both and get 10% of the strategy guide. I was like “Listen clerk, I know you don’t give a shit about me saving money, and the only reason you want me to wait is so you can meet your fucking quota of selling an accessory with a game. So just ring up my god damn strategy guide”
By the way the guide rocks, I emailed Brady telling them that.
Dear Brady
This guide Rocks.

I like my local EB. All I had to do was put 5 bucks down on the game and I got 20% off the guide. Cool peoples.
And yes, the guide is awesome.
After hearing how awesome this guide is, i quickly went out to EB today. I couldnt find it at first so went to ask the guy and he said there was only 1 copy left :eek: so i went back to search for it again and there it was! I was so happy… The only thing that was sorta annoying was the guy who kept on asking if i wanted to preorder the game>_> like u get discounts blah blah blah and i ended up preordering it…
i got mine!!! hugz book
lmao the same thing happened to me. But I didn’t preorder, since heh I already had an imported copy of both games so I had no need to preorder.
Thanks for the tracklisting people, but I must say this is like the shittiest SQ on any CD I’ve ever heard. It’s like they used a $3 voice recorder that supports 8 kbps mono to record the arcade music or something… :lame:
In the 3S section, the comboable indicators (CS, SC, SA) are confusing because the indicators are reversed for akuma and alex, because the idea of alex’s roundhouse comboing into itself is just unbelievable.
Yeah, I first noticed that when the guide told me that Akuma’s jab couldnt chain into itself, but that his jumping rh could…
seriously, i love the guide, but the sound quality of the ost is pure crap, sounds muffled and horrible.
I picked up the last copy today,I love it.Its a little scratched on the front and the cover is pretty fucked up,but the inside is fine.The dumbass Eb guys also kept trying to make me preorder it,I clearly said no and they still asked me like 5 times.On top of that,the guy took like a minute just to ring it up cause they were talking to each other about how preordering games save so much(like I care).
Like some others mentioned before,the only thing I see bad about it is that the sound quality for the soundtrack blows chunks,and there are a couple mistakes in the book.A bigger art gallery would have been nice also.
I think it was stated that the DC version had different frame data compared to the arcade/PS2 version. Otherwise, it should be good for strategies and such minus the unblockables and stuff.
I just bought it tonight from the bookstore I work at. The soundtrack is great, my only complaint is that it does not have the third version of the stage music. The Book is great, I am definitly gonna crack of 3S and SSFT2X again. There is also lots of art from all the games, which is a definite plus.
the guide is great. 3rd strike frame data is really good. But i really like how they did the og sf section
just got it, been playing 3s for a year already. its pretty useful if anyone wants to delve into characters theyve never touched, but only skims the surface in terms of how to play them. at least something like this will bring the new generation of comp at a higher level faster than before.
what wouldve been really cool is if they tacked on encyclopedia vids from mopreme on the ost disc.
cant ask for everything, i suppose thats what the strat section of srk is for.
I was wondering how did you guys get the frame data for 3S? Did you figure it out for yourselves? If yes, how do you do that I always wondered. If no, where’d it come from? (wondering how accurate it is) and did you get permission to post it if it wasn’t yours, cause isn’t that plagerism?
