The dreamcast version of Alpha 3 was online. It was also based on the Upper edition. If they port that I will shit in my own hat.
Alpha 3 was my favorite. Bison, Balrog, and Birdie world tour mode ftw!

Been playing SFA3 on my PSP - anyone else play it? Kills my thumbs. That has online play… so maybe there’s hope?
They better include Dee Jay… Man, that would absolutely make my day.

Like has been said above A1 is the psx port that is psp/ps3 compatible, it also has the ability to be played via the remote play function on the psp screen from the ps3. (quite cool eh!)
BUT CAPCOM ! if you know whats good, please give us ps3 ONLY version’s that have online play. PSP already has SFA3Max… And (unofficially) CPS2PSP

I’m with Hubang on the port of 3rd Strike online. But getting back to Alpha Series, as long as they don’t announce that Alpha 2 & 3 is going to be part of the PSOne Classic bullshit then it’s a good chance for online mode to be a reality.
If they deliver with that sort of good news then they should release one game Alpha Collection: Double ('Effin) Upper Hyper Max Turbo series, that allows all modes from A2 or A3 and all that extra crap we couldn’t get on console that made it to the handheld. In the game, perhaps the Host can decide what modes, etc, etc. can be played from the get and you decide what rooms you want to get into.
Don’t know about you guys, I’m just too cheap to buy separate versions of two similar games. Although A2 gameplay was better than A3, but A3 offer almost everybody on the roster, just too many damn super-ISMs to choose from. I’m just saying tho…as long as it’s online gameplay than I’ll be happy to take what I can get. Heh!
I’m definitely excited for Alpha 2 +3 for the psn with online play but I do agree that 3rd strike would be absolutely pimp for online play for the psn
That is a baller idea so I’m hoping that is the case! Would be more convenient for both the players and (hopefully) their wallets. :lol:
