The cr.MK when canceled sort of Karas you forward. SO that would be the reason for it connecting when it looks like it wouldn’t.

i think a lot of poongkos success is because people are already scared of him. I mean the guy forward dashes at close range like 20 times a round. I feel like if I tried doing that (especially online) i’d just eat reversals all day. poongko is definitely not afraid to press buttons.
pretty interesting that he uses U1 against Viper too. seems like he loves that U2 and that’s a pretty good match for it IMO. U1 is too easily baited/made to whiff

Well he plays Seth. Neither of his ultras are really one size fits all. I bet he was using U1 to stop full screen seismo. gives Seth better zoning.
u1 is great against Viper, she cant do a seismo(chain) at all and bad burnkicks means a free ultra aswell.
In AE is seths u1 going to disapate against all projectiles or just ultras? And does anyone know just how much more health he got?
She can bait the ultra with a seismo feint and you can’t AA ultra her. I’d rather have u2 myself. I’ll punish full screen Seismos with walljumps, the fun way.
It’s all speculation at this point, we don’t even know for sure what the changes are.
ofcourse she can seismo feint, yet when she starts chaining it is possible to ultra her during the animation, which is what I was getting at. Her seismo chaining still leaves a small fraction of time to do U1 unless she does ex seismo in which case it’ll catch you. So basically she cannot safely seismo chain, and that is why I prefer U1. It does catch her as an AA but it depends too heavily on what brunkick she did, which trajectory, too risky but like I said I want to take her seismo traps away from her.

well you can’t expect everyone to be a top player, but even if it sucked, Pawngko mix ups are still Pawngko mix ups and you can steal some technology.

i used that cr.hp - j.mp - st.hp reset yesterday. the st.hp reset put them right in the corner then I did an instant overhead riverdance to roundhouse cross up mix up and got the stun from the roundhouse. worked out really well.
Also if Viper baits out U1 off a jump or sj, she can EX Burn Kick above the hitbox of the U1, which will keep her in the air (similar to EX Tatsu) and make the U1 whiff.
I also agree with your punish of full screen Seismos with wall jumps, I do it as well. At that distance, it’s good damage and a push of Viper into the corner.
