If you say so then I believe you
But just for the record, I’m not saying random crap that has crossed my mind. I just listened to a famous commentator here, in France, who is aware of that kind of stuff since he comments many tournaments of various VS Fighting games. During the match he specified that wasn’t Daigo playing. I’d rather believe this guy over a weird video title. In addition I found hard to believe that Ryu is “The Beast” since he just did so much mistakes. That’s all :chat:
Fair enough everyone is entitled to their opinion, but nobody is perfect not even Mr. “The Beast” Umehara. I have personally seen Daigo make a lot of mistakes at Japanese arcades (Mizoteru tore him up), so I don’t know why it’s so hard for people to realise that he does sometimes play badly and make mistakes (e.g. Shoryu FADC into EX Shoryu, instead of Metsu). Maybe Daigo does not know how to fight Seth yet? It was just a casual anyway, not a tournament match or anything, maybe he was trying to learn things? Most of the time when it actually matters, Daigo wins. But not every time, remember when then unkown Rufus player MDR knocked Daigo’s team out of SBO? Daigo got straight outplayed, no excuses. Plus he knows that match up very well after playing Kindevu so much, but MDR was just better. People need to respect and give credit to players who beat Daigo, not make excuses as to why he lost.
Also I’d still much rather believe a Japanese person who was actually there, rather then the opinion of some expert commentator who was not there. Please do not take this post aggressively or think I am being aggressive or getting annoyed, I just wanted to explain what I have.
Now please let us get this thread back on topic. If you are still dissatisfied then discuss in the appropriate thread.
Against Hawk, you can bait out his dive kick, and after block you can punish with a lot of things. Try to stay away from him because one 360=1/5 your life.
The final game was the last video between myself and JTS (GU). I dropped the clutch. Hopefully there are instances in here where people can say “Least I know not to do that.” or “That’s tight, I’ll try it out.”
When you land a focus crumple off an FA backdash do jump in stomps instead of hyakuretsu unless they’re in the corner. More damage and you get the reset too.
I think you need to be a bit smarter on the anti-air DP. People got a lot of free jump-ins on you but they didn’t push it so I don’t know if it’s a weakness of yours or not.
You did drop a decent number of combos. But most of it was safe with just doing too many jabs.
Your mixups/setups are pretty nice. But you gotta watch out for people punishing jump forwards stomp, the Abel and Dudley were doing it. Neutral jump stomp is much harder to punish, but harder to land and doesn’t catch backdashes.
Hi, greetings from Denmark! First post, but I would like to say that I’m very excited about the whole SRK forums, I’ve read alot in here, since I first really got hooked in late vanilla SF4, so thanks to everybody for their great posts, especially in the Seth forum (since I consider Seth as my “semi-main”)! =)
Anyway, found this pretty amazing video, from a japanese player called Poongko. He does (imo) some pretty crazy stuff, and pull out some great combos, so I thought it would be relevant for this topic.
Don’t worry if the videos have been posted prior to your visit, we have so many that they are bound to be repeat posters regarding them.
Poongko is actually a Korean player (Regarded as the best Korean player if memory serves me correct), and yes, he is quite good.
I hope you spend more time with Seth and learn something from the posts in these sections, and I can say with confidence, that the people here in the Seth community have been probably the most productive/intelligent posters concerning SF4/SSF4 due to the will it takes to make Seth your main. That… and all the banter we all get for being Seth players in the first place.
