Seth Video Thread

I don’t even bother with those kind of comments anymore. I have accepted that 70% of the “community” hates me for playing him.

it still feels good to screw them over with side-side and high-low mixups. Fuck them.

Apparently there is a tournament with stream at AfroCole’s place, I’ll head over and get on that. Pop in and request “Seth” and they’ll call me over to play. :smiley:

Ultra 1 trap = Still viable!

How is a noob like Tokido gonna have to be the one to have video of it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Where exactly did you see it happening?

4:20-4:35 with the Ultra 1 trap.
4:45-5:00 with a non-tech’d stand-up after Legs (Essentially the same timing as an Untechable knock-down)

Yeah, I just boom when I see the combo number.

You confuse me sir. I was looking for a SONIC BOOM >opponent jumps>U1

Now I see what you meant. I still do it it after U1 but like I always did, I FADC it.

Now I feel bad for getting your hopes up about that. :frowning:

Yeah, my main stake was the point in how looking at Ultra 1 still has the (almost) guaranteed combo after it’s successful hit, compared to Ultra 2’s ability to be combo’d into…

Someone should look at some of these numbers-
Ultra 1:
Raw Level 1 Ultra1 -> Sonicboom -> BnB (Be consistent which BnB you use and please document :D)
Raw Level 2 Ultra1 -> Sonicboom -> BnB
cr.HP -> Level 1 Ultra1 -> Sonicboom -> BnB
cr.HP -> Level 2 Ultra1 -> Sonicboom -> BnB
j.MP (1-Hit) -> Level 1 Ultra1 -> Sonicboom -> BnB
j.MP (1-Hit) -> Level 2 Ultra1 -> Sonicboom -> BnB
Sonicboom -> Level 1 Ultra1 (Either on reaction to hit, or Focus Absorb)
Sonicboom -> Level 2 Ultra1 (Either on reaction to hit, or Focus Absorb)

Ultra2:
Anti-Air Level 1 Ultra2
Anti-Air Level 2 Ultra2
j.HK -> cr.HP xx LP Shoryuken -> Level 1 Ultra2
j.HK -> cr.HP xx LP Shoryuken -> Level 2 Ultra2
j.HK -> s.HK -> cr.MP xx Hyaku -> Level 1 Ultra2 (Corner Only)
j.HK -> s.HK -> cr.MP xx Hyaku -> Level 2 Ultra2 (Corner Only)
j.HK -> cr.LP -> s.HP xx Hyaku -> Level 1 Ultra2 (Corner Only)
j.HK -> cr.LP -> s.HP xx Hyaku -> Level 2 Ultra2 (Corner Only)
j.HK -> cr.LK -> cr.LP -> cr.LP -> cr.MP xx Hyaku -> Level 1 Ultra2 (Corner Only)
j.HK -> cr.LK -> cr.LP -> cr.LP -> cr.MP xx Hyaku -> Level 2 Ultra2 (Corner Only)
j.MP (Single-Hit) -> Level 1 Ultra2
j.MP (Single-Hit) -> Level 2 Ultra2
j.MP (Double-Hit) -> Level 1 Ultra2
j.MP (Double-Hit) -> Level 2 Ultra2
HP Shoryuken (1st Hit) -> FADC -> Level 1 Ultra2
HP Shoryuken (1st Hit) -> FADC -> Level 2 Ultra2
Ex Shoryuken (Full Hits) -> Level 1 Ultra2
Ex Shoryuken (Full Hits) -> Level 2 Ultra2
(Air-to-Air): Headstomp -> (While Falling) j.MP -> Headstomp x3 xx Dive Kick (No more juggle points, whiffs) -> Level 1 Ultra 2
(Air-to-Air): Headstomp -> (While Falling) j.MP -> Headstomp x3 xx Dive Kick (No more juggle points, whiffs) -> Level 2 Ultra 2

o i was going for what kanta-kun said…

but i use this still…u just have to wait after the cross-up boom…then bnb

Shout outs to Sabin for the awesomness at Battlefield Arcadia XV. Beating Sanford at Winner’s finals, good shit.

EDIT: Bad shit to Sabin for using Rose in grand finals man. GGs though. Sanford just suddenly got in the zone.

Right now on XBOX Live Sabin’s Rose and Dhalsim have more BP than his Seth… but his Seth aint too far behind, lol.

Any videos Kanta-Kun?

Poongko (SE) vs RT-Sujie (GO)

Daigo,Gameinn (Ryu) vs Hiropon309 (Seth)

BTW Hiropon309 is the no.1 ranked Seth in Japan.

Never seen a video of daigo vs seth before… it’s a shame he doesn’t know how to fight him. Still it’s a nice match.

He will learn, I guess that’s what he’s doing by playing as many different characters as possible before the aracde release of SSFIV.

Also maybe it’s just the way he plays against Ryu but Hiropon309 seems alot more turtley. Come to think of it I don’t think I’ve seen a single match where he is not playing defensively… He used play very aggressively in some Vanilla matches I’ve seen.

Is this still possible if they manage to block the sonic-boom?

Thanks for the tip.

I honestly don’t think this is Daigo. Gameinn is a nick used sometimes by Daigo because he’s sponsored, but it’s not necessarily him.

He said on the stream the other day that he is game inn

You mean, for that particular match ?
Because as I said it’s not because the nick Gameinn is used that it is Daigo.

It was Daigo playing. He was sitting in a room in Game Inn Sakura (an arcade) with Tokido and other players and they were all taking it in turns to play people on XBOX Live. The person who was kind enough to upload the videos, Ino (the owner of the arcade) perhaps, knows who Daigo is and what he looks like and did not get confused. If someone who was there says Daigo was playing who are we to say he wasn’t? You have to think about some things:

Due to their arcade mentality Japanese players have nothing to lose when playing casual online matches, they dont care as much as in arcades. When you lose you dont have to pay again, you dont have to wait for your turn again, you dont need to give it your all as a result. Especially in casual games you are using to learn things like match up data, etc.
