Seth Super Glitch

There is a glitch with Seth’s Super.

1st Part of video showing OS with HP Super.

2nd Part of video showing how the glitch triggers.

Summary:
If done at point blank and opponent teleports backwards, the super will not catch and pull the teleport’s recovery.
The character will be free to move/jump/do anything after recovering while seth is still in his super animation.
As you can see at 0:18 that the Seth’s super is still in its active frames.

However this will not happen if the opponent teleports from mid screen instead which means it is clearly not working as intended.

If this is the case it means that Seth’s Super cannot be used to OS against teleport.

Characters that can trigger this glitch:
Vega, Bison, Akuma, Evil Ryu, Dhalsim, Seth (anyone that can “teleport” backwards)

Anyone can get this to capcom and hope they fix it in 2012 ?

You can only get sucked in at the beginning.

You can OS tanden these teleports and get full combos off them. Maybe not Akuma’s.

Does strong super not work either?

As you can see in the 2nd part of the video, Vega does PPP flip at full screen but gets sucked in, same thing when he does it at mid screen but why not at point blank range ?
Recovery is same no matter where he does it.

Also Tanden doesnt work on all of them.
It only works on Vega’s KKK flip.
Vega’s PPP flip invincibility frames is too long for Heavy tanden to work.
Vega’s backdash recovers too quickly for Light tanden to work.

Certain chars need difference strengths of tanden to work as well
Akuma and Evil ryu requires Heavy Tanden.
While bison and dhalsim requires Light Tanden.

Which is why seth’s super, if it is working as intended should beat all backdash/teleport options, but sadly is glitched by this.

I just tested with Light, Medium and Heavy supers.
Same thing occurs for all of them

hmm… one thing i do know is that the suctions of both EX Tandem & Super (also the suction from U2, but this is irrelevant) has no juggle potential, however when it hits an airborne character it puts them in a standing juggle state. meaning that once you hit then once the hitstun that occurs puts them in the next juggle state, bassically meaning only a move with juggle potential, like Seths stomps, will hit.

Here’s an example… do a focus attack, back dash, then then do Light Boom -> Medium Super… You clearly see the section pull them in to the boom, however because they are in a standing juggle state at that point the suction stops hitting & the opponent has the oppertunity to block.

Perhaps this is something to do with it… Seths suction mechanics are very buggy it seems.

Yeah you’re right.
