I’m with Kanta, I enjoy him for his superiority thing, and his mix-ups.
He also serves as comic relief because of the silly things he says and does at times.

I play Seth because he’s like the only character that “clicks” with me, and it’s just super fun to play him. Plus he’s just too damn bad ass.
The only reason I play Seth is how I can walk macho style after SPD or back throw. Extreme badass.
Also tons of tools and mix up stuff keeps me rolling and his playstyle just fits pefectly (have an answer in many positions and ranges).
I play Seth cause rehash characters are boring. With a new SF game I excepted alot more new characters, and outta of the 8 new faces to the series, Seth is the most interesting new concept. While he’s heavily inspired from Urien, and his moves are borrowed from other characters, it doesn’t take away from his design. People hate him for being the boss, but I like him from not being a regurgitated character.
agreed with everyone. seth is a troll. fun to use. and i like showing that a low health character can still own with perfects. i love getting booted cuz im rockin the room in endless or ranked dudes not accepting rematches lol.
his background isnt much of a story… but his versus screen pic is the only pic that interests me. its like he has no soul. Plus i feel like my funny personality goes with this unique character. i like intimidating the other guy by just sitting there like my stick broke and then they dont know what to do. I also love doing the Terminator walk all the way till i corner them sometimes. lol
also… u can count the seth users cuz they are so little in amount compared to ryu etc.
if i lose a tourney i know i still made seth look good while doin it.
takes alot of patience and practice to master seth IMO cuz one screwup kills you despite when people call him cheap. hes not that cheap. Cheers to you fellow sethians! lol

Well I definitely know more than grapplers (I do live near OnlineTony after all), although I also definitely don’t claim to be a know it all heh. The Seth changes I posted were just things that reasonable people told me and that I assumed were right, but maybe they’re not, I haven’t seen Seth in person yet. Sucks about the dive kick!

Come on guys, the dive kick won’t be that bad. Be creative with it, I already see a good set of counter hit set-ups from this. Also if you haven’t seen [media=youtube]KUxBBH6YNHY[/media], apply this to the new nerfed dive kick and present mix ups.
These I deals work for all characters, but its best for grapplers like seth and abel.
The difference is Makoto was new and because she’d been slated so much as the worst character in the game no one had any experience with her (case in point; gamerbee’s adon)… Seth, everyone’s seen his tricks (for the most part), and now potentially what’s happened (still waiting to see on buffs) is he’s lost some of his abilities and that’s it. Seth has held his own in tournaments but never done amazingly, and now he will continue along the same path, but just do a bit worse than before, UNLESS something game changing is discovered with his new frame data.
But Yun is a monster that every character fears (for now).
I reckon AE Gen will be pretty much 5-5 from what I’ve seen. Gen has great pokes (even better in AE) and he has his meter gain back allowing for alot more fadc oppertunities (if you can execute them). Not to mention his AA can stuff divekicks pretty decently.

Not to mention his stance is similar. Looks like the range on crouching mk is nerfed though.
Some more things I have been told from Japanese friend that he read:
-Dive kick can be thrown on landing if hit too high
-Least used character right now in AE (?)
-U1 is preferred still
-Dive kick near mid body st.mp hit confirm srk works?
-Dive kick height restriction, can’t do it too low(? I don’t know if they mean it is higher now or if the person didn’t know how high before?)
Mostly people complaining how weak he is right now, not much else info wise.
I am still waiting for credible information sources though, these are only BBS posts and could all be scrubs. Don’t take this stuff as verified info.
