Yeah, u2 is screwd… against chun you get 549 damage, against gief you get 550 (both midscreen), didn’t bother testing against other characters, but I mean even without anything before hand the most u2 will ever do against hakan is 300 iirc. It’s a really broken move.
Ah wish you hadn’t posted this right when i was in the middle of testing all this shit or i wouldn’t have bothered lol. But since i have, here’s my results, i just picked some opponents at random, trying to get different size chars in the mix.
All combos were started with opponent at full health.
Combo 1: simple in corner legs>ultra
Combo 2: jumpin HK, HPxxBoom>FADC>HPxxLegs>ultra
combo 1 damage / combo 2 damage
Ryu: 408 / 516
Hakan: 348 (320 if he’s oiled) / 486 (444 if he’s oiled)
Sagat: 408 / 516
Sakura: 408 (so same as Ryu) / 515 (so 1 different from ryu, no idea why)
T.Hawk: 368 / 496
Dudley: 388 / 506
Zangief: 408 / 516
Dan: 408 / 516
So 408 and 516 seem to be the “standard” but some chars seem to not get hit as hard.
So it is possible to do more than 300 damage to Hakan, or did you mean just ultra without a combo?
Just ultra without a combo… but as hakan is the ‘default’ p2 character in training mode it made me think at first U2 did less damage than U1 (because against hakan it does).
Don’t know if this has been mentioned, but I was surprised today when midscreen BnB (cr.hp xx LP SRK>jd.mkx3>jd.hk) after the LP SRK, it was impossible to connect the headstomps on Dudley. Then I went to training and couldn’t do it. Either my execution is flawed or there is a list of characters this BnB does not work on?
Some characters it makes it easier if you cr.HPxx LP SRK (2 hits) -> j.mkx2 -> DK.
Not sure if this was posted anywhere but I believe this is Seth’s most damaging combo
in the corner, j.HK cr.HP xx HP srk fadc EX Tanden cr.HP legs Ultra. damage ranged from 530 - 541 on ryu
That’s pretty nice, but you need to have full super for it, whereas you can get 516 damage on Ryu with only 2 bars in corner.
Still nice to know which is the most damaging combo into ultra out there for Seth.
Look a few posts up… 550 is his most damaging combo =). U2 is so inconsistent between characters though (over 100 damage difference) that ‘most damaging combo’ changes a lot from character to character.
It doesn’t work on Dudley he quickly falls to the ground unlike other characters, do SRKx2.
Add Cody to that list.
Edit: Adon too.
Cody, Adon, Dudley, Hakan, Guile from my testing. Srkx2, stompx2, hk as mentioned above for these characters.
Normal bnb works on hakan and guile.
I guess these are the reasons.
Not if you just do c.HP standing next to them from my tests. after j.HK it should work though.
Your right! Wow, I tried so many times on these guys and never got it but its working now that you mention it lol. Still do those two seem harder than the other characters? Feels like it.
But c.hp when they’re stunned, off a focus crumple, punishing one of their moves then they’re in recovery or off of tanden engine works, which except from sb FADC (which does work but seems temperamental) are the only times I can think of that you’d ever want to c.hp at the start of a combo.
Yeah, I just think you need to make sure to instant stomp on those two.
Kay guys, question period!!! Standing CLOSE HK > Crouch MP (anybody find this Link much easier to do than this next one) Standing Close HK > Standing LP > Crouch MP.
Seems like the first one is easier to do and the 2nd one seems more like a 1 frame link from the Hk to LP what you guys think?
I think you’re wrong.
The first one is better anyways. Less dmg scaling.
Both are 1 frame links after hk and due to damage scaling hk > c.mp is always better, as well as being easier thanks to plinking, which will give you a 3 frame window with mp~lp~lk.
good to know, thanks

dont know how to explain these combos like u all do but watch the end of round 1 and 3 lol
