Keits or Zenblaster, any rough ideas on what time ST might start Saturday? i really want to come but sounds like no other locals are coming so it’s gonna cost me a pretty penny. depending on the starting time i might be able to get away with just coming Saturday instead of having to stay overnight Friday night. speaking of Friday night will be there ST machines there for practice that night?
ST and Vampire will run fast, so I’m sure we can handle starting them a bit later in the day. Check your PM box as well, Brent.
@Cheezface, you can bunk with us and Zenblaster if you need a place to crash on any night! Think we have 4-5 people in our room. I have no idea who you are, but I see you are from Indiana and I’d be happy to make Zen sleep in the bathtub if we need to make extra room.

I’m overzealous and registered pretty much when the reg page went up before I heard about the online tournament. If by the grace of god I were to win would there be some way I could get the entry/venue refunded or something along those lines?
Also any word on what the tournament at GGA would have for prizes or if it would be a standard pot-from-entry tournament?
Yeah we’ll take care of you if you win the online tournament. You need to pay to register anyway so we can put you in the bracket, so its easiest for us to refund that later anyway.

Wireless ps3 controllers allowed or no? This has probably been answered already but I’m to lazy to look.
PS3 wireless controllers are allowed. We wouldn’t do that to all of you pad players!
There will be a de-sync station off to the side that we will require people to link their controller to when they are finished playing.
Be sure not to miss the FxS pre-qualifier event going down Thurs. Sept. 1st @ Galloping Ghost Arcade in Brookfield, IL! SSFIVAE, MVC3, MK9 & 3RD STRIKE ONLINE will be played. Come chill out with a few members from Focus Fire and if we are lucky the legendary Keits may just show up

I was a huge fan of the North Stars when they were around, too bad they left! Settled for the Wild, but before they came to town I was actually more of a Red Wings fan myself when we were teamless quite a while!

Focus Fire and Galloping Ghost Arcade are teaming up to bring you the Fighter x Shooter Qualifying Tournament. One day before the main event, you will have a chance to win free entry and venue fee to Fighter x Shooter, September 2-4 at the Crown Plaza in Northbrook, IL.
Here are the details:
ournaments will be held for four (4) games: Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Mortal Kombat 9, and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition.
Entry fee is $5 per tournament you enter plus a $5 venue fee ($10 total). Venue fee should be paid to the front desk upon entering Galloping Ghost Arcade. The tournament fee should be paid upon signing up for entry into the bracket(s).

Tournaments will be singles competition, double elimination, best 2 out of 3 games, with finals being best 3 out of 5. Players will be competing on ASUS monitors and PS3′s. Please bring your own controller(s). All tournament rules will align with those of Fighter x Shooter unless otherwise noted.
Schedule for the qualifying event:
5:00 pm – Venue doors open, Casuals start
6:30 pm – Sign-ups for all tournaments begin
7:30 pm – Sign-ups for all tournaments end
7:50 pm – Casuals end
8:00 pm – All tournaments begin
If you do not think that you will be able to make it to Galloping Ghost Arcade on time or you would just prefer to have your name entered early, please notify the tournament organizer ahead of time (see below) so you will be entered into the bracket. If you are so late as to hold up the bracket, you will be moved to the losers bracket or eliminated.
