Sentinel is DONE in umvc3

I don’t play with sent at all but his nerf in UMvC3 isn’t bad…there are ways around the rocket punch >HSF. Yes, its part of Sent’s BnBs but there still ways to do it…OTG assist is the clearly the main one if the change sticks but someone will find a loop hole within the game that allows it to happen for whatever the reason maybe.

So something else I’ve noticed in this video is at the 1 minute mark, Sentinel got hit and lost all drones from HSF. Now I don’t know if they beam just negated them or whatever, but if they disappear just like his regular drones from Vanilla for taking damage then they’re starting to nerf Sentinel way too much for no real reason. I mean, it’s already that HSF is not too useful out of a few situations, but now giving HSF the same properties as standard Sentinel Force?!

Once again, I don’t mind all this truckload of nerfs…

I think its part of the counter super animation for Dr. Strange. When he does it to Akuma in one of the other videos, the beam projectile disappears.

I think the beam just outright beats everything, it’s a counter super after all.

Ah ok, I haven’t read up on Dr. Strange so I wasn’t aware of him having a counter super.

Did sentinel get anything in UMVC3 that’s positive besides TK Hard drive?

I heard sentinel had some buffs, what where they?

As far as buffs, someone said that he got faster but when I played him at the Evo build he felt the same speed wise. If his attacks are a little faster that would be great because Sentinel needs to apply pressure to get in damage. Being defensive is not going to get him far, even if he did go back to 1 million plus health.

I would greatly welcome a faster j. M and j. H

That was a very short air series before HSF (something like S, jM, jM, jS). Hit stun decay doesn’t really do much at that point and It’s still likely that RP xx HSF won’t work after a flight combo.

Are they seriously not gonna buff his health? I can’t believe capcom think its cool for him to have less health than viewtiful joe, its ridiculous how many bad match-ups he has and they aren’t gonna do anything about it? I am just hoping and praying that he gets better by default, since so many people(most of whom were bad match-ups for him) are getting proper nerfs and maybe with the speed up on his drones and the overall buffs zoning is getting he might just get better but I still think a little more health isn’t too much to ask, I mean not even taskmaster level, give him 1mill and ill be grateful.

it supposedly does. I think i remember seth saying something about the players should of been using it at the umvc3 in norcal.

Likewise, I also remember seeing a Sent at PAX (I think it was PAX) do cr.M against a Zero doing j.H and it completely beat Zero’s j.H. I wish I could find that video now…

Every Sentinel player who has played him seem to be absolutely overjoyed with his buffs… F Champ looked like he’s planning to start Sentinel on point in UMvC3 and he was talking to Seth about how excited he is for Sentinel. Fanatiq was talking on the SRK podcast about how, after trying them in the LA fight club, his entire team was buffed greatly and he has no intentions to change his team. Sentinel certainly has gained quite a bit of speed and his not so high health is actually justifiable this time, so I don’t see why anyone here should be unhappy with UMvC3 Sentinel.
