Seismo xx Seismo - Performance Questions

wait, how do you even do seven? I thought the max was six

i think the seventh one doesnt hit but for chip i’m pretty sure six is the max

edit:

lol i just saw this, and i lol’d pretty hard

I just posted a vid I did of some practice matches online with a friend, you’ll have to excuse the lag, it had us just standing there a few times.
Anyway 2nd round 1:04 minute in I click off some seismo’s. Watch his energy. This is one of Vipers best pressure moves bar none… Blocked, FADC’ed or whatever, this takes off huge dmg.

ou very nice and yeah haha, i saw the lag
i love the consistency for hp tk > ultra
great viper man!

I like to do:

:df::df::u:

No risk of jumping forward if you whiff. Also, you can SJC FADC with it too!

I’ve been doing it with 629

the only problem that I have is that I need to have the stick at neutral before I try to do the motion, if I’m holding forward in anticipation it seems to ALWAYS result in a simple super jump, no matter how early or late I do it

just gotta do the f,d,f,u motion a bit late… if you super jump than you doid it too early

found my problem, I was just hitting the punch button too early…as soon as I switched to f, d, uf, pause, punch I was getting it consistently

someone knowhow todoseimso to dash?

I m starting seeing some good viper player doing that , just curious about how you cancel…

something like ex seimso , cancel tojump cancel to dash before jump?

There are two main methods of doing this.

  1. Seismo, :d::u:(this is the super jump)+:mp:+:mk:(this is the dash)
  2. Seismo, :qcf::uf:+:mp:+:mk:

I use method 2 but use whichever one is more comfortable for you.

ive been using method one, maybe i should try method 2.

I’ve never really used method one but I’ll give it a shot in training mode and see how well that works out.

EDIT: I tried method one and it’s pretty good. I perform the super jump by sliding my thumb from down to up then pressing mp+mk. With this method, I can SJC FADC pretty all the time in training mode. Guess I’ll have to try it out in a match to see which method I’ll use from now on.

Guys :qcb: :ub: + :lp:/:mp:/:hp: is like the best way to do it.

a. If you get a Super Jump you are doing it too early

b. If you get a Thunder Knuckle your not doing the motion fast enough

I spent like 4 hours studying this don’t tell me its a load of bull XD.

Not tryna be difficult or anything but is everyone putting the wrong motions on purpose or do the directional imputs that i’ve seen for doing some of these techniques actually work.

Anyway the best way to do this varies from person to person in a few ways. I’ve realized that the best thing for me it to use similar motions so i know i wanna Seismo sjc Seismo then i just tigerknee the second seismo, gotta be careful with throwing TK around this camp. I’ve come to accept that all of vipers inputs are lightning fast, which is a breathe of fresh air lol. So if i do :dp:+:p: for my first seismo then my input for each sjc’d seismo is going to be :dp::r::uf:+:p: after the pause.

Yeah Keizion’s method is the only way I can get it consistent and I can only get it 100 percent for right now on the right side of the screen. On the left side of the screen with the way I hold the stick it’s difficult for me to do more than 2 seismos in a row in a heated match. It’s probably just due to the fact that I’m not hitting the gate right and I need to muscle memory it out in training mode again. I’ve been working so hard on getting HP feints and SJC’d normals into Ultra down that I’m messing up Viper’s other stuff.

Yeah tiger kneeing it is a really good method. Have you tried using the shortcut method on the left side deviljin,:df::df::uf:+:p:, it works it’s just annoying that it works. i feel bad for you using it sometimes.

soz actually add a :df: in that at the start XD, I was subconsciously doing that my bad people, the timing of it is like after she punches the ground and the input is like fast though.

This is what happened to me too. Now I got to relearn Seismo Chains again because I’m can barely do them anymore. I’m using Keizion’s method on the 1P side…

…and this method on the 2P side.

^^^ I use the shortcut method on the 1P side for some reason i can’t dp from that side more practice inc.

Ryuga - I’m in the same position… 1P side :df::df::u: all day…But on the 2P side…well I’ve been practing the tiger knee motion and this motion and I’m still trying to find which one is more consistent…

At least if I’m trying to SJC FADC, the :df::df::u: method automatically dashes for you if you do it right.
