Yeah corner super can deal more than 500 damage without resets or ultras. But midscreen seiei enbu can deal a really good amount of damage.I personally prefer the sthp>kaihou(teleport) loop when i’m midscreen.Another loop is sthp>torou zan(rekkas).I rarely go for that but anyways…
So you start with: dive kick>stmp>mp palm>seiei enbu>sthp>kaihou loop and when you’re about to run out of super meter do a tenshin reset into sthp>torou zan(rekkas). The damage of this combo(reset included) is about 585.Pretty good i would say.
If you want to use ultras:
You can combo into both ultras during this loop but i wouldn’t recommend it due to damage scaling.
So if you use ultra 2 do the loop go for the tenshin reset and do cr lk>ultra 2.This combo(reset included) will deal about 680 damage. To combo into ultra from cr lk you must be into the seiei enbu timer. So always watch out for the timer.
If you use ultra 1 do the loop go for the tenshin reset and do st lp>ultra 1.This combo(reset included) will deal about 767 damage. No need to be into the super timer but st lp into ultra 1 is a 1 frame link.
The aforementioned(in previous post) stlk>hp palm is good corner blockstring and does ridiculous chip damage but you don’t need to do that if you want to land an overhead.Just do some cr mp or stmp and cr lks and if you see that your opponent is always blocking low go for that overhead and start a seiei enbu corner combo.
Sorry if I seem uneducated about the whole deal with Yang’s Super, I’m fairly new to it. Are the loops difficult or quite simple to perform? I’m away from my PS3 at the moment
Cool. Thanks. I have another question. When I’m in super and I land the overhead, Sometimes my cr.mp whiffs cause im pushed backed too far. I dashed into the overhead, am I suppose to dash again after the overhead or is my timing just probably off?
The key to remember is that the window for canceling whatever normal you are using is a lot smaller, so you have to get the faster timing down. After that it’s pretty easy.
Another question, I’m trying to do HP xx Teleport loop yet everytime I try to cancel the HP during Seiei-Enbu yet it never works. Is there some special timing I have to pull off to get it to work?
When I try to do the st.lk into HP palm blockstring, after the first time I do it, I’m never in range to repeat it. I tried dashing but I get out of range. Does the opponent have to be crouching? And is this a true blockstring?
It is, but you have to be point blank for it to work and your opponent must be in the corner, which means you have to walkup a bit after the super’s startup. And if you “miss” and do a cr.lk into palm, you will be too far for it to work too.
Some things
-cs.mp only hits once while in super, as does a meaty, low hitting lk dive kick. Good for setting up command throws.
-c.lk, cs.hp is a pretty easy link, and you just go back to the dash loop. I’ve been trying to get a decent string that ends in whiffing an overhead but no real luck yet, but you can still be able to land c.lk with cs.mk resets.
-W/out ultra, the only decent combo off an overhead that I have is f.mk, lp mantis (1), hp mantis (1), hp mantis (3)
-cs.hp and sweep link, so try to remember that quick next time you mess up the lk dash loop.
in a match , it’s hard for me in 2012 to have a full super bar:
[]we need them for fadc combos
[]we need them for escape
[]we need them for ex grab
[]we need them for ex slashes counter hit

ex palm -> sweep setups , dash ultra 1
the only case i can see where you will have your full bar is when your are dominating a match
i think this is the most damaging seiei enbu combo (again with the palms , one of most important yang’s specials for damage):
i will try to make a 2012 version of it…
