SEGA's Yakuza series thread. Is Haruka gonna have to Komaki Parry a street punk?

I stopped watching the video at the piledriver/powerbomb attack. Fuck the mini games, all that ass kicking action is more than enough for this game.

The Complete List Of Yakuza 4 Edits // Siliconera
Release date is just a few weeks away GET HYPE!
Ugh, does anyone know where to watch the Prologue movie?

SEGAā€™s website no longer has it ;.;

Definitely hyped for Yakuza 4, Iā€™m playing the demo for Yakuza Of The End at the moment. I got it off the JP PSN, it is the one with zombies and shit. I put over 2.5 hours in it so far, not knowing a word of Japanese. You get a gun with unlimited ammo, but a 13 round clip you must reload.
Took a broad off the street to the Sauna, played some Ping Pong with her.
Shit is funny on that part, you build you heat ping pong finish while holding L2 to look at her tits while you play.
Did a shooting range game, where you ran through a course shooting cardboard cutouts of zombies and tried to avoid humans.
Play some 777 slot machines

I donā€™t know what all the demo has, but it fucking shits on that Yakuza 4 demo Sega of America gave us.

Demo has some dumb shit sometimes, because to open a door or something it will show circle on the screen, but circle wonā€™t do shit, you have to press X instead. There is a few parts where the button that was shown, was the wrong one to press.

Iā€™m hella hype. GOt mine reserve and canā€™t wait to play it. I also got the ā€œOf the Endā€ demo, but I havenā€™t had a chance to play it.

I was mad disappointed in the Us Yakuza 4 demo, because the Japanese one was really good but all we got was some battles. Oh well itā€™s almost here so it doesnā€™t even matter. and Iā€™m glad the cut list was only answer x answer.

jUST GOt the game and will try to play a little of it today X3
ā€¦but man 5-6 GB install?! WTF SEGA!

Mustā€™ve spent some 2-3 hours playing the game, goddamn sidequests and exploring can really make time fly XD
Really enjoying the game, though so far the combatā€¦leaves much to be desired, then again I never do try being fancy with the combat ^_^;
Akiyama is a bro BTW

Might be just me, but I really have a hard time to keep up with all the clan names. Not even sure if Shibata and Ueno were ever mentioned in the previous games.

Itā€™s best to not worry about the clan names, besides Tojo, the others are likely RetCon. I put over 10 hours in, and Iā€™m still Akiyama, I think Chapter 5. Y3 was more challenging, and Kiryu was more polished than Akiyama, Iā€™m having all sorts of trouble picking up a downed opponent, but no trouble just beating the shit out of them.

Hostess shit, I will probably full star Rio and not bother with the rest of the girls just to complete one. I will also make one girl #1 at my own club, and never touch that part again SHIT!.

The story is okay, Iā€™m really curious on what that Black Widow bitch wanted all that cash for. I will have me another Y4 session later today.

Akiyama is broken. After you lightning legs somebody with 13 hits and then do the 3 strong kicks youā€™ve already done a full bar of life and are in heat.

Also, you can line them up and bounce them off the wall, and and kick them several more times when they are already dead charging your Heat.

I wish they put up a better fight, they just stand around and take it, no challenge. Only challenge I had was the Flaming Chainsaw guy, and even though he hits you a lot, the damage wasnā€™t so great. I knew I could lame him out and beat him.

No sense of threat, kind of wish I started on Hard or something.

yeah I wish I started on Hard too. The game is really easy, though I expect it will pick up toward the end.

I just want to say again, I love the key locator. Iā€™m still in Chapter 2 of part 1 and Iā€™ve already opened over 40 lockers  though there is one annoying one I cannot find for the life of me on the rooftops.

Fuck Yeah Yakuza 3 was more of a challenge than 4 is so far.
Rikiya was tough, but I beat him without losing, but I did lose to that one guy early you fight in the office.
He kicked my ass a few times, after that I pretty much ran through the guys. Hitman missions werenā€™t bad except like 2 of them.

Come on guys, you all now the SRK standard- Hard mode= SRK Normal mode.

I started on Hard and the only real part I had trouble with so far was busting out of the prison. Saejima to me seems like might end up being the weakest of the four characters. Can anyone whoā€™s further than me confirm/deny?

Where are you guys getting the key locator from?

There is a man standing next to the lockers in Kamuro-cho, the same location it was in Y3. If you talk to him he should give you an item that when equipped will tell you if a key is nearby.

So I finally started yakuza 3. Before I even started a new game, my ears started orgasming at that sick arcadey music expected of a sega title. So good.

So Iā€™m almost 40 hours in and am almost done with Part 3.

]Going from Saejima to whatshisname was one heck of a change, Saejimaā€™s strong build made it so he had a high defense, but thatā€™s not the case in Ch. 3 and I kept taking a lot of damage when surrounded by a lot of enemies:lol:
Storyā€™s getting more exciting though, wonder if what Saejima experienced was a dream or hallucination?[/spoiler

Hereā€™s a tip on getting an easy 3 mil. Yen in Part 3, Chapter 4-
When in the 4th chapter, go to the Casino in Ryugujo, there should be an old man sitting on a chair. Talk to him and youā€™ll play a game of Russian Roulette, when you gain the gun the 2nd time, choose the first option (fearless), then on the 3rd, choose the 2nd option (calm).
Do this and you should get 3 mil. Yen[/details]

Beat the game last night
The gameā€™s story is great but the way the final part ended it wasā€¦not satisfying IMO. Araiā€™s been backstabbing just about everyone and in the end it seemed like ā€˜all is forgivenā€™. I think they couldā€™ve handled the story in the last part a heck of a lot better.
Gameplay wise, you tend to lose any interest in fighting enemies once youā€™ve collected a lot of cash, furthermore maxing out charactersā€™ levels is faster and easier in this game.
Iā€™m going to go get some trophies, and replay the game to get a silver trophy for beating the game without switching to easy mode (canā€™t believe I donā€™t get this for beating the game on Hard, WTF), still Kiryuā€™s part of the game is very short aside from the final part and with my strong stats I should be able to finish the game really quickly.
All in all I enjoyed the game for the most part. Hereā€™s hoping Of the end gets released next year, really hype for playing as Majima X3
