Hate to break it to everyone but the Neogaf thread was closed because the file for trademark had no reference number. It has been noted on Shenmue Dojo that this sort of trolling is common. Look for yourself but both Cerny and Yu Suzuki will be at GDC having a postmortem discussion which implies the acknowledgement it’s dead.

“Post-mortem” just refers to what’s in the past, which would be the initial Saturn/Dreamcast development, not the entire project for all eternity or anything.

werent sega gonna release shenmue 1/2 on XBL arcade/PSN like they did with jet set? whatever in the hell happened to that? i need those fucking rare toys in my life again!
meh figured… Honestly its been so long now to how could they even realistically think to make a profit on something like this too? They would have to do some sort of collection. I just dont think its realistic to assume a vast majority of people have played it at this time. Now what I do think should happen(although of course probably wont)is they should just tell us some spoilers from it. Like what was suppose to happen that kinda thing. I would be satisfied with that.
Eternal sadness… I wish people would stop playing with my feelings…although not all is lost…Yu Suzuki will be at conference in San Diego in March 2014 discussing his projects and obviously Shenmue and without a doubt Shenmue 3 will be brought up once again…
