I use Nubytech controllers for SF4 on my PS3 via PS->USB-adapter (Speedlink).
Chicken Wings and Flamekicks are no problem - but the Rekkas are very hard to perform.
They’re much easier to do with the Dualshock 3 - but that one doesn’t have the 6 face-buttons.
So I thought about getting a Saturn-pad.
What do you suggest of the following options:
buy a Magic-box-converter and use a real Saturn-pad (does that result in input-lag?)
buy a USB Saturn pad and be happy
buy a USB Saturn pad and replace its dpad with an original Saturn-dpad
buy a PS2-Saturn pad and use it with my PS->USB-adapter (problem: couldn’t find any PS2-Saturn-pads)
1) buy a Magic-box-converter and use a real Saturn-pad (does that result in input-lag?)
I’ve heard that the Start button doesn’t work, so no pausing the game.
2) buy a USB Saturn pad and be happy
From what I’ve heard of the dpad breaking off, you won’t. I used mine for maybe a day but the dpad just feels like garbage compared to genuine SEGA dpads.
3) buy a USB Saturn pad and replace its dpad with an original Saturn-dpad
This would be the way to go if you can’t do option #4.

Best option right here. Keep checking ebay; there were a few just a few weeks ago.
Hmm…I don’t really need the Start-button because I don’t play the CPU anymore.
For configuration in the training mode I could still use the Dualshock 3 (a bit tedious to change the controller numbers but I wouldn’t mind that).
So maybe I’d buy a MagicBox + genuine Saturn-pad. Or - if that should result in input-lag - I’d go for option 3.
Btw., I could buy this genuine Saturn-pad in Germany:
