Although I want to use joystick PCB’s in my Saturn stick project, two guys came on and chimed in with opinions about Saturn pad PCB’s.
Your PCB is probably one of the two main designs used during the life of the Sega Saturn.
Is it an American style pad (the fat chunky one), or the smaller Japanese/style-2 pad?
At any rate, they have both kindly provided photos that have some solder points labeled. If you can handle a Tekken 5 Anniversary stick mod then the Saturn pad mod is definitely within your capabilities.
Believe, I’ve checked the Tech threads and there’s very little documented about Saturn tech here. It’s an older, far less popular system than most of the systems being worked on today.
I liked the Saturn better than the PS1 but I’m under no illusion that it was popular with any more than a rabid cult crowd.
hi thanks , its a fat official saturn pad , think i might just pick it up and try it out , who dares wins hey
