Sega Saturn HSS-0116 pad. Is wired mod possible?

I want to know if it’s possible to make the HSS-0116 pad into a wired pad. I prefer how much thicker it is to the model 2

Just about anything’s possible as long as you have the time and money to throw at it.

That being said, I think it’s highly unlikely that you’ll be able to make the existing PCB wired, because it wasn’t designed that way.

Your two options are:

  1. Replace the PCB internally and fit in a stock Saturn pad’s PCB inside somehow
  2. Turn the HSS-0116 into a project-box controller

3. Forget the project and get yourself a different pad.
Maybe sell the HSS-0116 (you can get about $55 to $65 for it) a collector and use that to buy serval
HSS-0101 wired game pads.
