Seeking X-23 Adviser for 'Assist Me' Web Series

I wouldn’t really worry about that too much because by Super MVC3 there will most likely not be a DHC glitch any way. Which is why I’m doing what I can to prepare my play style to change for an inevitable do away of the DHC glitch. Which relies around making my X23 more reliant on dirt nap setups and XF2 to kill off teams and working on the MFC pressure to make her mix up as scary as possible even before calling an assist or setting up dirt nap. Assuredly I still use DHC glitch whenever it’s available until then.

I don’t really mind her DHC compatibility with Doom at all because anytime you land rage trigger or weapon x prime that’s a free sphere flame DHC follow up which does pretty solid damage even before XF. The sphere flame super can be rather tough to land consistently starting from other character’s supers which can be a problem considering photon array only acts as a safe entrance DHC and does no real damage. BOTH of X-23’s level ones set up perfect sphere flame super setups for Doom everytime. Rage Trigger specifically being the best since it doesn’t require an assist to land and Doom only has one assist that lets her reliably land Weapon X Prime AFAIK and it’s only reliable in the corner (Molecular Shield).

Basically just land the rage trigger or weapon x prime and into sphere flame and then just turn on XF 1 or 2 before the sphere flame a bit before the sphere flame actually hits them (preferably 2 to guarantee kill someone off and give X23 her scariest version of XF). If you wanna play Doom on point at that point you can call some hidden missles while they’re 90 feet in the air and start an offense once they come down. His sphere flame does around 450K damage in level 1 XF and 600+k in level 2 XF so you can kill off most lower health characters or a big health character after a long combo in one activation. The super has the same strange property as Hulk’s gamme quake where every single hit of the sphere flame gets a ridiculous damage boost that can add up to absurd amounts of damage just by the super hitting alone. Which afterwards…X23’s ridiculous scare factor in level 2 XF with an assist can allow you to run through a team by raw tagging into X23 aftewards and then just clearing up the rest of the team with doom beam assist and cracked out high damage high speed X23.

Oh man, I really regret not browsing this forum more often and not having participated with this. I do have a few tactics I would like to share.

Anyway, the result was still great. I really liked how Doom and Tron were called good assists for her because… X-23/Doom/Tron is still my team. I also liked how the wall jump was emphasised, I seriously felt I was the only one using it. But it is also good for rushdown and avoiding projectiles for the height it travels, the distance it travels and the fact that you can block all the way.

On the subject of character similarities, to me, X-23 = Chipp.

X-23 clicked with me after I did wavedash standing M for the first time.

I was like…well, I’m definitely playing this character, and ever since I’ve just gotten more and more attached to her (moreso than even my first pick, Zero who I mained in TvC).

Lol i play her cause she resembles what cammy use to be in ssf4.

I use it and I love it. Sometimes I wish she could do it from a super jump as an alternative for using M talon dive. Probably use it to just air throw Phoenix every time she super jumps and throws TK shots. LOL I would love that.

I never got around to part 2 so I’ll try to watch it today. Expecting it to be informative and funny (:

Part 2 is up and it’s great!

I’m glad I could help out with the HD footage and info, great work Maximilian!

Some definite surprises in the story that I didn’t expect. LOL worthy dialogue as always and Tess is too cute.

Of course knowing me I would have liked the 2nd part to go a little bit more into detail in some areas but since a lot of X23’s basic mix up is revolved around the mirage feints any way it works. The other MFC based strings and whiffs would probably be a bit too much to explain especially with no text explaining what is going on so it’s good that just the basic jist of it was given. If people want to learn anything past that they might as well watch my vids at that point. Hopefully people will be able to figure out the combos despite their not being any text based notations but if they play the character already they should probably be able to put 2 and 2 together with that.

In general nice job with the HD footage Mofro and we definitely got our shout out at the end so definitely all worth it.

FINALLY watched the whole thing lol.

Well, if these vids don’t up the X-23 playerbase, then nothing short of X-23 winning EVO will, IMO. Great work guys.

DevilJin’s insistence as well as the video did inspire me to start efforts in mastering MFC. Pretty big deal for me, as I have been trying hard to avoid getting help from the outside and still be good. For the record, the few times I try poking with standing H I only cancel it into H Mirage Feint, which I am sure is not nearly as safe.
