Bought Secret Invasion #1 and Captain Marvel #4 yesterday.
They are both very good.
I love what they’re doing with Mar-Vell.
Im not too hyped with this angle, its just Claremont-ish…imposters everywhere. The only thing that sounds intriguing about the angle is Fury’s return.
Yeah I read the first issue and it was pretty damn bad.
Excitement gone immediately.

Seeing the main people who are behind both events i actually see Secret Invasion having more of a payoff than Final Crisis. I really don’t think Bendis is gonna pull some stupid shit out of his ass and throw some huge retcon like many including myself thinks he will.
Whereas with Final Crisis for some reason i’m not convinced it’ll be the “FINAL” crisis. But then again i haven’t really cared for DC comics outside of the DCAU universe.
the golden age heroes appearing was mad random. It seems obvious that some of them will be their real versions (hopefully crosses fingers NOT Cap, Iron Man and Jean Grey…), while most of them will be skrulls.
I’m leaning towards everyone getting off of that ship is Skrull.
So Sano and Akumatruskrull, what’s it like being on an alien ship?

I bought the compilation of comics leading up to Secret Invasion (called “The Infiltration” I think; it starts with a classic F4 comic and then shows stuff leading up to SI). Also bought SI #1.
After buying almost every Onslaught comic back in the day, I told myself I’d never shell out so much money thoughtlessly again. However, I’ve very, very tempted to scan that checklist in the back of SI #1 and collect. I’m very intrigued by this storyline.

When all the classic heroes stepped off that ship… that’s when I got hooked, I think. How many are Skrulls? How many are the genuine deal? How long have the REAL heroes been gone?
The next person to be revealed as a Skrull? My actual guess is Dr. Strange. My ridiculous guess is Geese Howard.
