What exactly has been up lately with Mar-Vell? I haven’t been keeping track of his book.

Well Captain Marvel apparently came back somehow through a time portal through the Negative zone. Over the course of the issues he’s trying to figure out the current world the way it is. Issue 3 has him and Ms. Marvel fighting Cobalt man and he immediately gets suspicious because Cobalt man was dead. They detain him into SHIELD custody meanwhile some Kree soldiers drop down with Skrull weapons trying to capture Marvel. Iron interferes and then fend them off. Marvel interrogates Cobalt man who turns into a Skrull and basically tells Mar-vell he’s a skrull but doesn’t have any memory of being one. Despite Mar-vell saying he has cancer the skrull tells him why hasn’t he shown the signs of the disease then. Stark goes over the footage of the interrogation and gets some agents to uproot Mar-vell’s grave to obtain the Nega-bands and see if the dead body is there. Fast forward to end of the issue and Stark gives Ms. Marvel the Nega Bands so she can touch the bands to Mar-vell’s and transport him to the Negative Zone just in case he is a Skrull

He got pulled through time from the past through the negative zone or some damn thing, and started hanging around in France since he’s not big on the idea of him dying a tumor-ridden death in a matter of months. While in France, he got ambushed by a few of his villains from way back, and one of em said that he was, in fact, a sleeper skrull, didn’t have cancer, and would help them wipe out everyone. He didn’t take it well, and flew to Africa, where a cult that worships him was helping refugees, and got 'sploded by the less-than-friendly side of the fighters, and he flipped out. Then Stark decided that, rather than chancing having somebody that powerful around who is crazy and/or a skrull, he’d send him back to the Negative Zone. So he sends Ms. Marvel to go meet with him…and she does, and issue 4 ends with him being in the Negative Zone going “::gasp:: imma home?!”
I like how marvel has catch phrases for there big cross overs now.
“No more mutants”
“Who’s side or you on?”
“He loves you”
Damm 1st issue was freakin good i dont remember any of the late crossover starting with so much action and interset hopefully it will continue like that and atleast the avengers tie ins will be good

I didn’t consider Sue Storm to be a skrull, just that a skrull impersonated her to get into the Baxter Building. Like how one impersonated Daredevil to try to get to Echo.

Well, if we’re gonna be playing that card, then we’ve got at least 1 Mar-Vell skrull, a Wolvie skrull, a Beast skrull, a Luke Cage, an Iron Man, Thor, etc etc etc. My theory? The skrulls made a whoooooooooole buncha sleeper skrulls.

So I read no. 1…I take it the shuttle/spaceship they found had Skrulls in it who, after coming out of it, took the forms of various Marvel characters.

That conversation was one of my fav parts reminded me 2 of my friends. And yeah that Reed dont know about Skrullektra was wierd??. And in the Baxter building that wasnt Reed or a Skrull it was some tourguide showing some tourists around

He’s part of the Illuminati who at the time met in secret. Of course Reed is going to put on an act that he didn’t know about Skrullektra in front of Pym.

Thing is we won’t know the status of who’s alive and dead until the KIA arc is done.
Secret Invasion might as well be called Clone Saga 2. I like how at the end of the issue Kasada is trying hock like 10 different trade paperbacks. That’s Marvel for you.

This is true. I’m just thinking that Pym will be dead and that when Iron Man shows up at Camp Hammond in #12, he’s gonna be like “where’s Pym?! Imma kill him!” and the skrull will be all “I’m ok, nobody worry”
