Good games Frank. Kaz is hard to use sometimes because he’s a risk reward character. You better make sure he hits because WS+1,2, EWGF, ff+2, CD+4,4, CD+4,1 are all punishable. He can either bitch a person to hell in like .5 seconds, or lose to punishers to his moves. I know it’s fucking hard to do against Steve, but you might have to bulldog a little more with him to be more successful. Also try and get CH ewgf if you’re controlling the space and when they attack… that’ll get you like half life combo. And remember you can mixup some nasty stuff with rushing with kaz… when you have some time try to pull these all out and get used to them.
-CD~2 (EWGF… I know you know how to do that) high, fast, safe on block, punishable if ducked).
-CD+4,1 or CD+4,4… the lows, if they don’t tech roll offa of CD+4,4, CD+4,1 will pick them up.
-CD,f+2+4_CD,f+1+3_CD,ff+1+2… crouch dash to throws. 1 of 3 breaks.
-CD~b+1,2… this is a ahrd one and takes some practice. The b+1 have to be at EXACTLY the same time, or else you’ll get a standing b+1 which is… nothing special? Hit the 1 too early and you get tgf. But if you do this right, you get twin pistons out of CD… it’s gonna be a better mid tahn TGF out of crouch dash. Faster, and you’ll get more damage out of it.
-CD,N+4 (WS+4) is good out of CD at range, too. If they try attacking after, you can usually land EWGF or something.
So if you can wave dash at all (which I can’t do very well at all on those hori sticks), there’s a lot to your pressure game with him. He does lotsa damage, but it can be hard to open up those situations when they can see CD and block low and then block tgf on reaction… especailly when everything is punishable, pretty much. Hope that helps some. It’s easier said than done, though. Gotta practice that CD mixup stuff to get good at it. I don’t use CD characters enough to make it too useful. You can practice in TTT, too. CD~b+1,2 for twin psitons worked the same way… works for any CD characters like Hei and Jin, too (give Jin a mid WS+2 out of CD).
