Seattle Tekken 5 thread meow

throws are the one reason I really hate VF…
tekken you do enough damage as is even w/o throws… and plus you can tech fairly easily…

and wall rapage isnt as bad as that dumbass push shit in t4… though some levels have really close walls… dragons nest almost feels as cramped as the old underground stage…

UMMMM, the only reason you hate throws in VF " like most people do " you can’t just mash 2 get out of them, but thats really one of the best part of the game.

My 7th Kyu Asuka>Everything.

That is all.

VF throws are also abusable as hell in mid level play. Offense is hella easy to learn; it’s defense that’s fucking hard.

My 1st DAN Asuka > 7th Kyu Asuka

Pfft, i got 7th Kyu in one day on 5ish bucks (1 buck per play)… I beat 1st Dan Yoshimitsu, and 3rd Dan Jin players! ranking means shit!

I’m 3rd Dan Marduk. Show some respect, bitches.

Man I haven’t even played yet! GODDAMIT!

Ah, Zigmover21, you must be that bald guy that has the marduk with dreads…u must spend a lot of time at tilt playing in order to be a 3rd dan…

Umm, not really, you can only be promoted after first dan if you play against some one with a DAN equal or higher then yours. it could all be timing, RBX went up to 1st Dan in a couple hours on a Kaz card he just bought. But i don’t know how much the dreads cost. Im saving up for Asuka’s Kneepads damn it. its only 500,000 , only 350,000 to go.

I finally played this game today. Its actually kinda fun.

I wish all these random good people who go to UW would not just come here because of family and actually stay to teach me how to beat someone besides an Oly scrub and/or semi decent Oly player. :frowning:

Do I know you?

no, i just play once in awhile and i happen to see you there often, thats all

oh, and whats so special about the asuka’s knee pads? i mean this as in, i don’t know if they look cool or not, can u sent a link for a pic or w/e

last i checked the best ppl played at sea-tac…i figure i should post something cause i don’t ever post shit. GG’s tonight from everybody…murakumo i still don’t know what the fuck lee and steve are doing. Ric (who will more than likely not see this post) i will punish those knees all the time soon

Ummm if you don’t get the joke of a semi hot virtual grl n KNEEPADS, i feel sorry for you… That is all.

okay nevermind…i get it now

Good games Frank. Kaz is hard to use sometimes because he’s a risk reward character. You better make sure he hits because WS+1,2, EWGF, ff+2, CD+4,4, CD+4,1 are all punishable. He can either bitch a person to hell in like .5 seconds, or lose to punishers to his moves. I know it’s fucking hard to do against Steve, but you might have to bulldog a little more with him to be more successful. Also try and get CH ewgf if you’re controlling the space and when they attack… that’ll get you like half life combo. And remember you can mixup some nasty stuff with rushing with kaz… when you have some time try to pull these all out and get used to them.

-CD~2 (EWGF… I know you know how to do that) high, fast, safe on block, punishable if ducked).
-CD+4,1 or CD+4,4… the lows, if they don’t tech roll offa of CD+4,4, CD+4,1 will pick them up.
-CD,f+2+4_CD,f+1+3_CD,ff+1+2… crouch dash to throws. 1 of 3 breaks.
-CD~b+1,2… this is a ahrd one and takes some practice. The b+1 have to be at EXACTLY the same time, or else you’ll get a standing b+1 which is… nothing special? Hit the 1 too early and you get tgf. But if you do this right, you get twin pistons out of CD… it’s gonna be a better mid tahn TGF out of crouch dash. Faster, and you’ll get more damage out of it.
-CD,N+4 (WS+4) is good out of CD at range, too. If they try attacking after, you can usually land EWGF or something.

So if you can wave dash at all (which I can’t do very well at all on those hori sticks), there’s a lot to your pressure game with him. He does lotsa damage, but it can be hard to open up those situations when they can see CD and block low and then block tgf on reaction… especailly when everything is punishable, pretty much. Hope that helps some. It’s easier said than done, though. Gotta practice that CD mixup stuff to get good at it. I don’t use CD characters enough to make it too useful. You can practice in TTT, too. CD~b+1,2 for twin psitons worked the same way… works for any CD characters like Hei and Jin, too (give Jin a mid WS+2 out of CD).

no offense but this old news to me, my problem is i dont know how to deal w/steves cause i’m allergic to nasty games (tekken 4) i have the same problem with jins. its just going to take time to learn wtf hes doing…case to me it looks like almost all steve players are mashing

I see I see… n/m then
