Are we invited? If so, you’re excellent. If not, I’m sad.
Id be down for an srk game while Im there but not diamond club lol, Im not rich I just like the illusion of being rich. Hopefully I can make it to a preppy house gathering, maybe some xvsf could get fired up? I’ve got some new moves:D
I don’t have an CPS2 a-board right now, so can’t help for now. When are you coming through? We could probably borrow one or something like that, if mine’s not back by then.
Sexson is batting 250 AND he managed to let Garza walk him with two outs and the bases loaded. That guy just won two months of “Give This Guy A Chance” from me, that was excellent work. 6 walks, 8 strike-outs so far - and that includes a 3 strike-out game or two. I’m not saying the guy is great, but 250 is at least not deadly like he was last year.
Wilkerson on the other hand… hell, Vidro at a buck fitty? And Johjima at half the Mendoza line? Booo. I can’t wait for a couple weeks from now when their averages are higher than their weight.
I am not going to lie, a team called the “Sonic Boomers” would have instant top tier status on the name alone.
Let them go. They can pay all the money they want to build a new arena in Oklahoma for a 18-61 team (.228, like Durant’s FG%). I would much rather see that $300 million go into renovating Husky Stadium (we’re bound to bounce back).
Yeah, sense a little bias?
I think that’s really hilarious. How do you funk up that badly and let something like that get found? Although I can’t help but wonder about what’s gonna happen with this being revealed. David Stern and Clay Bennett are friends after all, I can’t help but think that this isn’t gonna affect the future that much. For the most part he’s (Stern) already alienated the Seattle fanbase by basically allowing a team with over 40 years of history to just up and leave. Everyone here already suspected they weren’t ever interested in staying here (past actions, 500 million dollar arena, the guy even saying they didn’t buy them to stay here) but this just confirms our worst fears. Probably the biggest tragedy in Seattle sports since the Seahawks were pink in Tecmo Bowl.
Oh well, Seattle Seahawks baby! Lofa and Marcus for Hall of Fame Class 2017!
I want one of those GONICS shirts. Fuck the NBA. =P Their Fan Appreciation days are probably just slapping the locals.
Mariners into 2nd place! Sexson with more non-awfulness (2nd in AL in walks)! The ninth inning made me sad, but at least no runs came in.
This may be somewhat related, hopefully not completely off topic…
So Mexico vs China in a futbol match on the 16th. The event is named “Futbol Fiesta”, not even joking. I have my tickets but am curious to see how many mexicans show up at Qwest field. Every time the Mexican National Team comes to play in the US it is always down in Texas and the stadium is sold out. I expect many eastern washingtonians to show up to this thing. The only tickets they had were $30 or $50 and by the time I wanted to get mine the $50 tickets were sold out. For the record, all of my relatives living in the US live in either Seattle or Portland. And yes, ALL of them will be in attendance for this event.
I still find it strange that such an event is even happening.
Stern:Bennett made ‘good faith’ to keep Sonics in Seattle
Figures. I’m not at all surprised he ignored the emails. Fuck the NBA. What kills me is this quote…
“I would say that we don’t ever like to leave a city,” Stern said. “We don’t like to leave a city as robust as Seattle, but the Asian cities that we’re tending to focus more on have names like Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong and Guangzhou.”
Yeah, Guangzhou. Here’s hoping the Sonics move there after they bomb in Oklahoma City.
I was unaware of this until I read ESPN, but I didn’t know that Gary Payton was at the last Sonics game. He got a standing ovation. Gary’s my favorite basketball player of all time, I bought his jersey the day we traded him for Ray Allen. Wow, fuck the NBA!
You mean the futbol with feet right?
Wait! Be still my beating heart. Don’t hold your breath people, but at least be optimistic. After all the sports related letdowns that this city has had, you could at least be hopeful right now.
^That’s great news!
NFL released the 2008 schedules today. The Seahawks don’t have a MNF game despite teams like the 49ers, Cardinals, Jets, and Raiders getting Monday Night treatment. I’m guessing it’s because we’re Seattle and because we have the record for the most Monday Night shutouts ever.
Our schedule
Week 1-At Buffalo
Week 2-San Francisco
Week 3-St Louis
Week 4-Bye
Week 5-At NY Giants
Week 6-Green Bay
Week 7-At Tampa Bay
Week 8-At San Francisco
Week 9-Philadelphia
Week 10-At Miami
Week 11-Arizona
Week 12-Washington
Week 13-At Dallas (Thursday game)
Week 14-New England
Week 15-At St Louis
Week 16-NY Jets
Week 17-At Arizona
We have a really easy schedule again. Wowzors! I’m loving it! Seahawks kid, that’s what’s up!
Dallas/New england/Giants/Philly are like the only four that I see we can lose. The only reason I put the Giants and Dallas is b/c those are road games and truth is we suck on the road. V.S Philly is at home so I don’t think we need to worry about that and NE is also at home but they are NE after all. Oh we also have the deadskins at home so I guess that not much to worry about either.
Subtract 3-4 L and move it to the W column.
I am not even the biggest Sonics fan, but this shit is beyond belief.
Wow, wtf? :shake:
