Does anyone have any objection to a Halo 3 tournament on sun? We have 2 days so we might as well give some love to Halo niggas!
Yeah, so we’re doing Guitar Hero II & Halo 3 on Sunday. Advertising around OSU should bring in a ton of locals.
We can still possibly save the Capcom/DR/GG finals for Sunday as well.
We’re thinking about adding back some more side tourneys for Sunday now too, since we’re sure we’re keeping the venue for that day (HF, MKT, VF5, Puzzle Fighter X’, HnK – voice your vote).

Dude that game had 700k people playing it after the 1st day and 600k on the 1st day. This game just beat out everything PERIOD! You’ll never see that in cruddy fighters lol! Man… imagine the payout for a tournament in this game with tons of people!:looney:

I would basically say if at all possible keep all finals on the same day as the main tournament for whichever game. If at all possible.
Also, Halo should only be advertised locally to keep Halo players from booking rooms that could be used by honest, hard-working fighting game players. Wait, would Halo players travel for this at all? I mean they can just play online and there are probably tournaments all over the place for that game, so I don’t know.
Not that I plan on going at this point, but dont have one game spread over 2 days fuck that… Have it for one day period. So say for GG if your gonna have finals on sunday have the whole tourny on sunday then.
Yes. Keep as much as possible on Saturday, with the side/obscure/extra events on Sunday. 90% of the people traveling to this are out-of-state and are coming for the fighters. Don’t make us stay for Sunday, then drive back in the afternoon/evening… some of us are driving 8+ hrs to get there.
I’m for the MKT and VF5. Halo will take the whole day over I’m not for it.
Chris & Fugee, keep all the fighting game tournies & finals for those games to one day.
Most of the peeps going to SBII will probably have to either call off of work or dish out a lot more money in order to stay in or travel back into Columbus for two days.
I know there’s a lot going on to try to cram things into one day, but if you keep gameplay for a certain game into one day, it’ll tremendously help out the gamers that play those particular games.
If you do split things up, do it just for the game itself. Don’t spread gameplay into two days for a certain game, since that makes it difficult timewise & financially wise for the gamers to go to SBII.

One day is the way to go and I know it is possible if things are kept on schedule. No offense but the last tournament was started about 3 hours late if I remember correctly.
Folks have known about this tournament for, what, six weeks now? I would hope if there is a time set six weeks ahead that folks can plan enough to make it on time. Even if there is some crazy reason for somone to still be late (having had all the time in the world to plan for this) then just start with another part of the bracket.
