Last great Marvel Cartoon. Why can’t this be the new movie trilogy?
Probably would have overtaken 90s X-Men as my favorite Marvel cartoon had they not killed it so early and I had to watch most of season 2 via internet streams.
I just wish there was a way to ensure that it wound up having better ratings then Ultimate Spider-Man to show Marvel/Disney what asshats they were in not just letting the series go forward instead of trying to create their own.

While Spectacular was screwed, there were going to be issues regardless. I don’t completely blame Marvel. I blame them for the terrible followup, but not so much for the cancellation.
I mean, Disney bought them right when Spectacular was up for renewal and then the TV rights went out of whack. Disney wasn’t going to let other channels benefit from their license (before people get angry, as a business you don’t get a huge licensing deal and then let others continue to make money off of it).
I do however blame them for EMH, fuck that shit. And fuck you Loeb. And I also blame them for the shit they pulled on Josh Keaton.
What shit did they pull? Was there a reason he didn’t come back for Ultimate Spidey?
Nope, they just shit-canned him and replaced him with Drake Bell.
Remember Spider-Man guest starring on EMH? Well Josh Keaton did the recording session as Spidey for EMH, and then they got Bell to re-record over the Spidey scenes.
Loeb said it was done for consistency since Bell was the voice of Ultimate Spider-Man, and they didn’t want confuse their audience (kids, not all ages). They won’t make a good well-rounded show for kids, but they’ll go the extra mile for voice acting? Smh…

Glad to see Spectacular back on the air, but its not like we’ll get new eps out of it. Just love it and buy the DVDs like you should do for Avengers:EMH, Young Justice, and Green Lantern…
It’s a damn shame about this show. I rather enjoyed it.
