SE Stick Not turning on

Yo,

Last time I had a SE stick problem I came here and you guys helped me brilliantly. Recently the last month my 360 SE sanwa stick has been a little inconsistent on bootup. I plug it in and id say about 60% of the time it doesn’t power on. Normally I just unplug it and plug it back in a few times and I can eventually get it to work.

Today I couldn’t get it to power on at all no matter how many times I unplugged and replugged it. I opened it up and I couldn’t see any obvious loose connections or anything. Any ideas before I assume its garbage now?

Did you try anything else in the USB slot? It’s not dusty or anything?

Did you try any other USB slot?

Did try the stick in another console?

Yes it happens on both USB slots. I have used another stick fine in both USB slots, and I have tried the SE stick in another system with the same results.

The problem is definitely the stick.

An obvious possibility is that the stick is shorting. Is the stick modded in any way? Can you open it up and look inside for obvious problems?

I’ve replaced the stock buttons and joystick with sanwa parts. Everything else is untouched. I opened it up and took a look, but I didn’t see any obvious problems. Everything seems plugged in firmly.
