I’m just now getting into AE, but even I had to do a double take when I saw the guy asking to give Boxer a fucking projectile.
You don’t have to be new to be a scrub. And sometimes, it’s just easy to spot an idiot regardless of how much experience you have.
Why are these people thinking that Hakan doesn´t have a crossup and also want easier input for his U2?
They shouldn´t trust Eventhubs.
Oh and the Dhalsim thread with 104 posts isn´t really big. Some characters reach this post size within one day.
From the Gen thread:
"I’m no expert I’m just a guy who likes SF4. But if any changes are done is should be these.
Increase Gen’s Health and stun to 1000 each. There is absolutely NO REASON he should have low health and stun with all the disadvantages he has!!!
Make Gen hands (super pokey move) entirely safe on block and hit. This is one of his only spacing tools and it should only be punishable on reaction. That would help his matchups agianst quick characters like Fei Long alot."
Super pokey?

Can´t wait for the 4th week.
For Gen I see a lot of people asking for HK Gekiro to be universal after the TC2, You would need to remove the HK Gekiro hard knockdown then otherwise you get Cammy levels of retarded knockdown mixups.
“Epix of the game” I hope that the new version of SF4 is “Super Epix Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition 2013”

Y’know, reading through these balance suggestions I see the pattern of EVERYONE asking for “More invincibility/better wakeup” and “Faster walk speed” which makes me severely worried that Capcom is going to see that being common among EVERYONE and write off the suggestion on characters who legitimately have problems in those areas. I mean, everyone can want it but certain characters have legitimately severe issues with those areas that need to be addressed. But EVERYONE is asking for it. This is especially bad for me as Cody is (imo) one of those characters who has major issues with both wakeup and mobility. I just hope Capcom doesn’t see everyone asking for better reversals and ignores the actual need for characters like Juri/Rose/Cody/Vega/ect to be looked at.
That was my reason why I didn’t want the walkspeed to be altered for any character. I’ve seen dudley players asking for better speed, and I’m talking about serious requests.
Also, in 1 day Evil Ryu thread gathered 200 posts !!!
"If you ve got 80% lead against bison iits 99% chance your going to win
"If you ve got 80% lead against ryu its 80% chance your going to win
"If youve got 80% lead on JURI its 20% chance your going to win
"Why?
"because of that stupid feng shui engine, it doesnt matter the lead, as soon as she activates feng shui engine , your in trouble. For 15 seconds shes got all different setups and resets… to go ahead with…
“especially in tournaments if your 80% up and lose the round its a massive mind blow and momentum switch for the comming rounds… it really messes with mind when this happens…”*
Outside of genkibot of Australia and Juicebox (who doesn’t even use U1), I would sure like to see these gdlk tourney Juri’s…
Pretty sure Chu-E. Ryu is even at best or 6-4 advantage Chun at worst if and that’s really stretching it. Not AE Yun vs Dhalsim/Blanka vs Hawk or vanilla Seth vs Zangief levels of impossible… lol
This really took me by surprise. I thought it was going to be me, a few other dudes spamming up the board and we can have all the attention to ourselves. When I go online, hardly see any Evil Ryu’s. When I watch tournaments, hardly any Evil Ryu’s either. So I didn’t expect his thread to be blowing up this much. Granted their are a few of us constantly debating certain subjects, but still it’s much much higher than I ever thought it’d be after just one day. Must be all the pent up emotion over feeling like Capcom wronged our character. Their is a lot of craziness in that thread. But I think their are also a lot of players who stated a strong case and gave a very thorough explanation for why the changes are needed.
4neqs, I think it’s slightly in Chun’s favor. 6-4 or 5.5-4.5 if you want to use half points. But I definitely feel like I have to work harder in that match up to win. Especially when she has U1, which she always has when a shoto appears.
sol…hold me…im scared for akuma’s week…
He just added on his reason
Lulz…The posts don’t matter, as Capcom is not going to acknowledge the suggestions anyway. Combofiend already said majority of the suggestions were not going to happen. In the end, Capcom is just going to do what they want with the characters regardless of whether we like em or not.
majority is a far cry from all
Really though I don’t think we should be too worried about the more ludicrous suggestions seeing the light of day. There aren’t going to be new moves added, things aren’t going to get like double the damage/frame advantage, ect.
I figure Evil Ryu’s thread is getting so much activity, cause a lot of people want Evil Ryu to be good. Few people play him cause you are better off playing the more fundamentally sound Ryu or the more option bound Akuma. However, people really like the idea of EVIL ryu and want him to be a deadly force.
About Oni…there are actually quite a few people who think he is OP which is hilarious. I guess he looks real powerful, but obviously they don’t know what they’re talking about. I’m hoping the combofiend factor does in fact make Oni receive some awesome (but not broken/op) buffs.
In general I think people are going over the top in suggestions for several possible reasons.
- They actually think their suggestions should simply be implemented as is.
- There are so many posts, so they want to stand out and be noticed.
- They feel their character has been wronged, and essentially want that made up with interest in the next update.
- It’s canon damn it!
Is it just a shoto thing?
There is someone, who tries to explain me that Hakan and Hawk aren´t “good”, because they have a slow walkspeed. I asked him/her, then why Seth and Makoto are then good characters and Dictator, despite good walkspeed isn´t on their level. I got the quote on the top as an answer.
Bison footies might be good, but that doesn´t help him against a member of the downback charge group, who is prone to crossups and you don´t have many moves that end into a hard knockdown for the setups.
There is one fact, which is sure and this is that Hakan and Hawk have different issues. Very different. And one lies in Brazil for one guy.
Edit: There is something else , what I wanted to know. If Capcom is going to make changes, what kind of suggestions might have higher chances to be incorporated? Those of top players, the most wanted changes(consensus), whatever?
While I am confident that none of the retarded ideas are going to be implemented, I do really think that they’ll notice the actual sensible suggestions and try to work off of those.
Here are the most unreasonable requests:
Air fireball
Asking for +5 on MK Axe and +4 on FADC LK Axe kick removing his 1f links that essentially lead to his damage/stun output being double
Faster walk speed
axe kicks should be overheads
Akuma’s teleport
Akuma’s Sweep
The only reasonable things I see are:
AVERAGE low attack normals cr.HK/cr.MK, knowing that this is the only thing really wrong with this character.
The reason you see more on the forums and less in tournaments is because he’s hard to play at a competitive level which (from the posts we have seen) is clearly not something these players do.
