Why is there such a shitstorm about Akuma from low level players? I have my doubts that these guys really get victimized by Akuma and his tools, because low level players wouldn´t be able to use him in the optimal way, but he still draws somehow the saltiest people you can get. A lot of mid or low level characters have even more annoying options, but there isn´t much hate.
I think there’s an effect that if the masses of lower level players see upper players bitching about something it gives them free reign to do the same thing without fear of being criticized.
The volume of Ibuki kunai vortex hate is astounding. I think Akuma is the only one getting more hate than Ibuki right now. I really hope Combofiend is reading these and the update isn’t just based solely on a community poll, otherwise shotos will reign supreme.

To be honest I actually would like to see that nerf, but Ibuki as a character get better by buffing the rest of her game.
I want to see characters in general get more solid instead of gimmicky.
I wouldn’t mind the Kunai nerf so long as they make it so Neckbreaker(non EX) goes under fireballs and Kunai actually cancels out fireballs. If they nerf Kunai into hard knockdown, neckbreaker goes under fireballs, kunai cancels out fireballs, it wouldn’t be that big of a deal. Of course, that means they’d have to make it so kunai just makes Ibuki drop, because otherwise Ibuki would just keep doing cross-up kunai for knockdown over and over again. If she was more fundamentally sound, a few decent buffs to the rest of her play(like her cr.MK being special cancellable, since it has better range than cr.MP), I wouldn’t mind the removal of the vortex. But that’s the only way she’ll stay a complete character if the vortex gets removed. edit: In my opinion, of course.
I don’t get why people are b****** about having a hard time against Akuma. It’s gotten to the point where I’m happy when they use Akuma , viper and especially Seth, I just think of theyre low health and stun before the match and that already makes me more confident. Lol Akuma players online can’t even keep up safe blockstrings without leaving gaps where someone could mash DP… maybe it’s cause I play Yun, so its a good match up for me, but even with Sakura no problems … At my arcade this dude blew me up with Akumas unblockables, actually a couple of people in a course of a few months… As far as XBL goes, I have yet to see a unblockable set up. Lol
A good FeiLong and Cammy are pretty tough to beat though.

It’s a pretty solid 4-6. Kazunoko at Canada Cup. Kazunoko has been blowning up top level Akuma players in Japan as well as Infiltration. Hugo is a good player, but he isn’t quite on Infiltration’s level.

Makes sense it’s in the Akuma forums. Of all the “vortex” characters Akuma probably has to play footsies the most. Ibuki gets more damage on her vortex and her hard knockdown comes from special canceled moves she can buffer off of normals like cr.MP or far s.MK or the fact she has target combos to hell and back. Seth is… Seth, footsies are pretty much ignored in 80% of matches (he has some he needs to try and footsie until he gets them knockdown though.) Cammy, lol EX Cannon Strike from anywhere, it’s safe don’t worry.
Willing to bet the same person will ask for X-Factor to be added in this game in the system changes week lol.
