I think the explanation is a (1) bracket full of monsters, and (2) too much SSFIV.

I found this it was skipping for me in the beginning but got better. Its the top 8 matches.
I was really surprised when DGV didn’t make it. I think tokido eliminated DGV, but who sent him to losers? Also who sent snake eyez to losers, and who eliminated him?

I’d say they got eliminated because of the Japanese players.
Daigo put DGV into losers, then Tokido took him out.
As for SnakeEyez, I think Daigo and Tokido beat players who he would have had to play otherwise, leaving him with bad match-ups (e.g. Zangief vs. Cammy).
I don’t know how howmuchkeefe beat Dee Jay, kudos for that. Cammy should never win that match in serious play. As Chen and Killian intimated, Dee Jay blows her up something chronic.
Well daigo said that he thought HDR would be a hit in japan, but only if it had an arcade release.
Choi forfeiting helped me a lot. Me vs. Choi would probably have looked a lot like my match vs. Valle did.
I’ve played Fudd a lot on XBL.
Same for Snake Eyez, come to think about it. Between him, evoanon and danielx510, I’ve had the Gief matchup hammered into me pretty well.

DGV had to face both daigo and tokido in qualifier play. nuff said.
snake eyez had some problems with his pad, he was getting standing kick instead of sweeps at critical moments. also like keefe had mentioned, choi forfeited his match allowing him to meet up with snake eyez instead of choi’s ryu.
either way good shit to keefe who travelled pretty far for this event and claimed 3rd place. i think thats a great precedent set for the online warriors who never show up to tournaments.
Why did Choi forfeit?
i ran the brackets @ SCR and i found choi and told him he was first to play and he looked at me liek he didnt even know he was in HD Tournament so he just told me to forfeit him he wasnt gonna play.
DGV had to face daigo and that match wasa trully one for the books daigo pulled a clutch reversal tiger uppercut where it counted the most to bring back the match. Then Tokido took DGV out
Snake Eyes lost to milesokeefe then last match to make it to top 8 he lost to Justin Wong
Even though running that shit was hella stressful i had lots of fun but please next time if your in the hd tournament and you tell me your name then fucking leave for like 45 mins im dq’ing so many people…
