BBC and Sky both calling it No.
Sorry Scots, maybe in another 300 years.

Sorry Scots, maybe in another 300 years.
I thought this would be closer. Looks like the No’s are gonna win.
And that’s that, No to independence.
Sorry to all the Yes voters, was cheering you guys on.
In all fairness, a lot of promises have been made, regarding a devolved Scotland, even if the result was a No.
This means better representation for the Scots has to be provided in Britain, regardless and hopefully, that’ll be adhered to.
If Cameron doesn’t keep his promises (and he seldom does) a 10% margin of voters, roughly 430,000 people, isn’t much to play with.
I’d say a better Scotland has to be almost guaranteed for there not to be a stronger Yes campaign in the future.
If a Yes had gone through, you guys would have taken a serious shit on the rest of Britain, but that should have been our problem to deal with, not yours; you guys deserve Independence.
This is the first resounding cry for independence in literally centuries though, so 45% is nothing to be shrugged at. You’ll come back stronger.
Nip of the auld Auchentoshan in your honour fellas.
Fucking spineless cowardly bastards, the hatred I feel towards these cunts is beyond words.
Was sick when I woke up and turned the TV on this morning. North Lanarkshire voted yes, my neighbours are safe for now.
A few surprises in there, the Renfrewshire, the Lanarkshires and Dunbartonshires should have been yeses by miles. I understand the volume of no’s from the islands, despite them being some of the proudest Scots out there, their low population and need for long distance state support, such as air ambulances, means that they’re worried they couldn’t pay for themselves and that fear factor probably played into it. Mainland was a bit of a letdown in general though.
Well, seeing that Scotland voted no made this hangover even worse. I really wanted to see those 3 wankers in Parliament shit themselves as they lost Scotland.
At the same time, though. There’s still a lot of people in Scotland, and even more in the UK, that do not like the Government and how it’s run. Give it time, because when a Government needs it’s doors kicking down, you know damn fucking well you need some Scots with you to get the job done proper.
In seriousness, though. I’m surprised at that absolutely huge turnout. Can’t argue with the results when so many people turned out.
The sad thing is, 2,000,000 people from Scotland alone have effectively expressed a vote of no confidence against parliament, let alone the north of England, Wales etc where similar feelings resonate, and those c*nts are going to see this as a win and a sign that they’re doing a good job.
Yeah, Westminster is going to take this as a sign that everything is hunky dory since today will be business as usual for the country. 2,000,000, 6,000,000~ Northerners and god knows how many other Brits have actively voiced their distaste of the current Government, but it feels like this will just give them an excuse to be complacent.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a Labour voter by any means and I don’t carry blind hatred for the government like an armchair PM. But I just feel like this could have been so much more. The second the “No” vote came through, the amount of fucks people gave dissipated. I was sat in a Wetherspoons and everyone was talking about it, there was something huge about it, but this morning it’s like yeah whatever, back to the bullshit. Cameron is going to take this as a sign that people actually like him, and for some reason, that makes me fucking mad.
Yea it was on the news this morning some mook asking the people to keep up the political interest. Its like like naw mate, we were only interested because it represented a real chance to change a country for the better, now its exactly as you say, back to the bullshit of letting the tories privatise everything else and slowly turn us into a country that is fucked like the States.
UKIP on the way and the most incompetent leaders on the world stage, aint that some shit. This is a major L we will carry forever, as soon as my hangover clears up and going back to the pub and read up on emigration. Canada/USA/NZ/Aus are all legit contenders. I dont care if the country am going to is better or worst, it just doesnt need to be full of traitors.
welcome to Canada, future canuck!
How everyone who voted yes feels right now.
Logged onto facebook this morning, bloody heck a lot of angry folks. The NO vote is a shock to me, I just realized I must live in a bubble because my friends were all voting YES and have been very vocal about it.
The sole option to become independent was enough reason to vote yes, Scotland should be renamed New Florida, cant think of a bigger mistake.
Flordia better than Scotland confirmed, we just set the world record for mass suicide last night.
Wah…Wow!
Shocked!
Seems like Scots are also too damn accustomed to its master’s leash to imagine themselves free.
smh.
Scotland the new Puerto Rico.
crucades, I feel your pain.
don’t immigrate to the US, America has a terrible health and educational system.
Canada has terrible internet.
Pick your poison.
x_x
All night and all day. Its prounced La-froy btw incase your wondering. Best stuff makes evil news kinda bearable.
Pretty much this.
I’m pretty surprised that this didn’t go through considering it seems like Scotland had a lot of gain from it. Do you Scots/Northerners think maybe it was older people voting to keep things the same? Do they outpopulate younger people up there?
Hard to say really, the polls were split, most of the people I know and spoken to were voting yes, am gonna have to put it down to people just being sheelpe shitebags and no doubt a good bit of corruption going on when the votes were counted. Also a bunch of videos posted showing some suspect behaviour.
Only getting 45% of the vote is baffling but am gonna need to get over it before I fly Mechwarrior over to be Microchip for my Punisher. On Facebook there is so much shock and disbelief, it wont be long till this turns to bitterness and anger. Listening to some guys in the pub last night, I wouldnt be surprised if people are already putting together some form of IRA in order to deal with the building hatred.
Oh yea am also expecting to the UK gov to unveil the actual figures for our North Sea oil reserves, we probably make the Middle East look like a kids paddling pool knowing these bastards.
