It’s not my fault people don’t have common sense. Most people don’t know this, but I really am the same person IRL as I am on SRK - it’s not an act. The difference is, IRL people don’t act like morons like they do on SRK, so I don’t have to rip them a new asshole. Don’t flood the thread with an entire page of trying to find a floor to sleep on, period. Last year for EVO East, I created a totally separate thread for people to use to find somewhere to stay, and it worked beautifully. The average person is looking in this thread for crucial updates about the event, and they don’t want to have to dig through pages of “can I sleep in your bath tub?” to do so. I don’t care if it’s your friend or not, I would have said the same shit to MY friends. Just wise up and stop the stupid spamming you can easily take to PM. This includes your comment two posts back on floor space.
Also as for Tekken DR, better safe than sorry. I would much rather have 3-4 PS3s ready to go, than only have 2 and then have 60 people show up. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to be part of the first 16 hour Tekken DR tournament.
That’s not true. We had 50+ for the arcade one WITHOUT qualifiers two years ago, and close to that last year. You might be thinking Virtua Fighter, because that one was pretty low, but Tekken was more than you think.
I’m Jose aka frodo/denjin j, and I’ll be playing on a team in MWC. I play 3s, arcana heart 2, tekken dr/tekken 6 and mvc2 (not so much). If you play any of these we can play and I can give you some practice and buy you food or something, lol.
Ya u are right i’m getting confused between mwc and mwc(hallenge), but you are right, when 5.0 was new there was a shit ton of people there, and it was awesome. 06 is the year that sucked ass.
we’ve only had Tekken for two years, 06, and 07. Both years had 50, 2006 sucked in terms of overall entries, but Tekken was the largest tourney with 50+
The only reason why I thought it was 05, because i remember the game was still pretty new (like half a year), and had just been released on console, it was the tourney solus won and justin wong got second, and that it was the first big tournament I went to. And 06 was the one when a few of the STL players came out, but I don’t think they are coming this year because they just had sluts, but I have my fingers crossed on a decent turnout this year regardless.
