Would the rules to Smash work the same as Brawl? Or would there be differences in “bans”, items, etc.?

is somebody making a trip to the airport thurs night / mon morning and have extra space in their car?
i’d like to hit up this tourney, but not having a ride / place to stay thurs night would add like 300 bucks to the trip costs

We have just been told that only 2 PS3s will be provided for the Tekken DR tournament by EVO. This means that we will be looking for 1-2 PS3s to be donated for use during the tournament. Obviously we will compensate you for their use by giving free entry into the Tekken event. If you are 100% sure you are going and can donate, please either post here or send me a PM. I will keep a running list of who can donate and then we will give you the opportunity to do so @ MWC depending on how quickly you volunteered.
**IF WE DO NOT GET ANY PS3s DONATED, TEKKEN DR WILL BE RUNNING ON ONLY TWO PS3S AND WILL PROBABLY TAKE THE ENTIRE DAY OF SUNDAY. **So please, if you know anyone in the area that plays Tekken, or if you are coming and think you can fit that beast of a console in your luggage, please do and we will take care of you. Also please be sure to bring the power cord and composite cable if possible, as a PS3 with no wires is pretty much useless to us. Thanks.
Smash rules will be exactly the same as the ones being used at EVO World. Being that I own Smash but have only played it about 10 times multiplayer, and I have never actually payed any attention to a Smash tournament or it’s rules, someone will have to decipher what they actually are and explain it to me. Or else I’m just going to do massive 4-player elimination battles with everything on, because thats how real men play. And if we do that, I’m going to win the whole thing.
Wow, these rules are pretty unique. Puts a lot of power into the hands of whoever loses the first match. pretty interesting actually :smokin:
I would love to have Smash be a 4 player Melee game like it is supposed to be. It’s not Street Fighter!
I say we do Smash however we like. 4 player Melee with nothing banned. And then the winner meets me in the parking lot, where I smash their face into the wall and take their winnings.

I probably won’t be needing my PS3, so if you need it you can use it. though if needed I’ll definitely bring a few PS2s for EX3 on friday, alongwith copies of the game.

Phil: you are a really cool guy at tournys but please drop this online assholeness. Especially towards friends of mine. I do agree that that kinda stuff should be PM related but not need to be assholes to people. But whatev I guess thats just how you are :smokin:
Don’t over estimate the number of people who will come for tekken this year… it’ll be nothing like last year. The year before was maybe 20 some people, not to mention the year before that. That being said I’ll see what I can do to get another system or 2 there.
