Riot: Accent Core is expensive for someone to get if the crowd only plays console Guilty Gear. My point is, he has an arcade Guilty Gear when I have never seen an arcade with anything but XX as the latest unless you’re in some pseudo Japanese arcade.
Amar’s right about the fighters, that arcade has always had them, but the core of the business is the redemption and parties. Players don’t seem to understand this, they honestly think that they make or break a place, but they are just one portion of the business. Anyone that gets fighters for people is not in it to make money unless they there is DEMAND for it, and Chicago definitely does not have demand. The only places I know of with semi demand are college campuses with a distinct crowd, or normal watering holes like Los Angeles, parts of NoCal, NYC, and Austin.
Poonage: I’ll take you up on that offer. I need 48 actuators. How can I get them, and what is the cost and all that? I ordered ONE actuator from someone before in Poland that supposedly extended it and it blew chunks, so I hope these are better.
Humbag: I know the cabinets are old, but who makes new cabinets these days? You should take a look at Family Fun Arcade in Los Angeles, CA for old cabinets. THey still use Street FIghter Champion Edition cabinets from 16 years ago. AT least these are newer than those ! = )

Thing is if Dream allows for people to option to play on console, then Im sure the majority will want to play on console as well. Maybe not as much for mvc2 but certainly for 3s as the majority today use japanese sticks.
This would destroy the whole arcade part of the tourny and if that is to happen there would be no reason to have it at nickels haha.
Although as much as I do not like playing on american sticks and buttons (and standing while playing) MWC for the most part should be left on the arcade (except for like cvs2 i think).
Im all for arcade as long as things are in good condition, which i am expecting and hoping they are for mwc.
