Ill play on whatever, but having a couple of the cabs with broken sticks was pretty bad last year, regardless of what type of stick it was…
Sticks worked fine on every cabinet except for the left side of one of the 3s large cabinets because it was not installed properly. It still worked, but it has a couple of issues. Just for the record, I played most of my matches on that cabinet on that exact stick.
Can’t do much more than check and see if all the 8 way directions and buttons work.
never on american sticks. on PS2 sure. i suck monkey balls on US cabs.
You need to relax. Pablo was just saying I need to practice with American because I’ve become too accustomed to Japanese so I can play maybe %60-70 as good on them as Japanese. I wasn’t complaining, because obviously logistics state we’d play on American.
You act like I’ve never seen light of day in an arcade just because I prefer ST on a japanese stick. I basically grew up in arcades, and yeah I was used to random ass shitty sticks not working right and shit. I don’t see “not being able to do all of my moves at no fault of my own” due to grimey equipment as somehow a truer form of gaming like you seem to, sorry.
I wasn’t expecting anything other than needing to start playing on American to get used to it for MWC.

airthrow: obviously you havent read much of the earlier portions of the thread, or the mwc thread from last year and the year before. its always a constant complaint. its just something thats gotten so played out, so we get super edgy when people bring it up. so you need to understand where he comes from when he responds.
heartnana: the sticks were functioning properly. whether people liked the sticks or not, is another story. but the sticks functioned they way they were intended to, except the one that dream mentioned above.

Heh, all I know is I complained for years about 360 sticks on ST and how I can’t use charge characters. Had to deal with that in major tournaments for 10+ years and no one helped me out one bit with those. I had to get used to it, but Sabre’s right, I’m a bit sensitive to this because “cry me a river” and all, but we’re doing the best we can with what we have, just like everyone else had to do before us.
As long as everything actually works correctly, I’ll be a happy camper.
even if I don’t enter the SBO quals, can I still donate money for the winning pot?
I’m sure that I won’t be able to get a partner and even if I did I’d stand no chance at winning, so would a donation possibly be alright?
Jason, can we do anything about the cab that AE was on last year? theres a fucking bolt oddly placed on the righthand side that rubs against your hand…it caused a huge welt on my wrist last year and i’m actually considering bringing bandages or something…no idea why they would have placed a bolt there in the first place! you’ll see what i mean when we get there.
