Well, the SBO quals will be on an American cabinet, for some reason. So adjusting to such a set up is crucial. I bet there are going to be a bunch of people complaining about execution and placing blame on the sticks.
Yeah I know what you mean. Im used to my HRAP for 3s but I cant let that hold me back this year.
People: be ready for US sticks. At this point I can care less what I play on even though I still prefer one over the other.

newsflash, even if it was on jap cabinets, people will still complain. people are too spoiled with their custom sticks now. i miss the days when players were fluent on any stick.
and its american cabs cuz…well…we are in america… i dunno if you noticed, but jap cabs and controls are import items, and rather pricey(the cabs atleast), especially in the midwest. Dream already mentioned if someone can bring jap cabs to MWC, thats great. chances of that happening, even tho someone can say they would? eh i say slim to none. dont really matter, its gonna be the same top players on top, they adapt. if the sticks work fine, thats all that matters

I don’t have a huge problem with American sticks other than them taking way too much wrist movement to register (I can adapt) but the straight across layout is tough. I definitely need to use your Captain America more. :tup:

The straight across layout was standard in every cabinet in the USA for years. The curved layout bothers people too. No one is going to be happy regardless.
Bottom line is be prepared. At least we’re using the Japanese ST board for all the matches, 3 boards, so no complaints on those, and the sticks will be iL Comps Medium Spring.
Sabre is right, everyone is uberspoiled. Any complaints like this and you’d be laughed out of the arcade for complaining about not being able to use your special stick.
Everyone is expecting themselves to be “catered” to, and it’s just not happening. Feels like a broken record:
Some want Jap sticks, some want US sticks, some want to use their own stick, some want head to head Jap cabinets, some want curved buttons, some want straight buttons.
Bottom line, we are using what we said we are using on the speed of the game we said we are using. END OF DISCUSSION.
