No, this is replacing the EC one.
Cool thanks for the info. Can’t wait to come check this out.
Scratch what I said earlier. Looks like my trip to the land of Nipon is pushed back to mid-July. I will probably be at this shindig taking all your money. At least in KoF and Tekken
P.S. Digi - My first tournament was almost 15 years ago in SFII… Champion Edition I’m fucking old.
But not as old as Fafnir!
Plan to come to my house at least a week/half a week earlier to chill and play games (PM me for details). I have a special guest that’s going to be there as well…you’ll be surprised…:woot:!!!
Prepare yourself for a lot of SNK games…but my special guess actually does play Capcom game too…:amazed: and that was my facial expression when I heard that from him.
You’re NOT taking my money in Tekken, now that is crazy talk…even though u know I truly despise the game….
Practice MIRA ESOM!!!
Oh man, if this is anywhere near as fun as SC3 Nationals…this will truly be the tournament of the year for me…LOL!!!
Can’t wait!!!
Actually make that more than one Capcom game…
:wgrin:
Yeah he better be ready…
Yo hopefully I can make it to this one. But seriously what’s GOOD with running a GGAC qualifier for SBO I’d even be willing to do the brackets myself if I have to. I’m suprised this hasn’t been scheduled 'specially since the midwest has been traditionally THE GG capital
On another note Hit me up via pm we ,have IMPORTANT work to do and what’s with that Garou and KoF '98
because we don’t decide who and where gets a SBO qualifier. The SBO staff does, and if they feel that we don’t deserve a qualifier then we don’t get one. Even in the heart of the midwest with GG.
Your best chance for that is the last chance qualifiers in japan.
Anyone from near Terre Haute, Indiana going? Or anyone passing through it (right along the IN/IL state line, runs through 41)? I’d really like to go this year. My ride fell through last year (I don’t drive. I’m 22, I just don’t like driving). Anyone want to pick me up? I’m not a serial killer.
I saw this and did some research real quick but sorry, completely wrong part of the state. I’m leaving with some folks from Fort Wayne. If you can find your way to Indianapolis I believe some of them are going too. Check the Indianapolis thread in the matchmaking forums.
I am running a Vampire Savior and Vampire Hunter side tourney for MWC this year. Tourney rules are as follow-
VS & VH Dollar Dollar Bill Yall $$$$$$$$ Side Event
2/3 double elimination both games
Vampire Savior rules-
Version- PStwizzle or the cade if the resource is available - if ps2 dip switches will be set in the game to the most accurate of VS (1997/05/19ver; this is the final japanese revision of the game).
Speed- turbo 2
Arrange mode is banned (PS2ver). Unless their is a demand for extra characters in the game. Then I would not mind to add them in to make things more interesting.
Vampire Hunter rules-
Version- PStwizzle or the cade if the resource is available - if ps2 dip switches will be set in the game to the most accurate of VH (1995/03/16ver; this is the final japanese revision of the game).
Speed- 2
That is all. Lets make this tourney as hype as possible or the cat in Humbag’s av gets it. Evil laughs
Hope you have your own TV.
can’t wait too hype!!! go go go wilson tournies.
I will bring the picture tube sets by the truck loads then. Walmart trick ahoy!!!
DreamTR - Is it ok if i post the arcana tournament times/rules that we’re planning? We’ll provide the TV’s and systems of course (and surge protectors, can’t forget those!), but I’d still like your permission.
I ran melty last year, so i don’t know if people are expecting me to again, if they are, someone just let me know, or ill assume a melty player is already taking care of it.
I’ve read the first page, but don’t see anything about venue fee. Aside from the couple bucks you pay to Nickel City, is there an MWC venue fee this year?
Do you know what rules Smash Brawl will be running? MrWizard as put out a call for people to test the game in full, and SRK has a test rule set that has been working. (90 page thread about it). Just curious as to what your stance is.
Old-melee players like items off, most stages off, and really long games.
SRK has been testings shorter games in longer sets, items on, stages on.
Since its no longer a qualifier something like 10 bucks for a venue fee sounds about right. At least I hope its just 10 or less
Hey, want rules are you going to use for Brawl?
HeartNana: No idea who is running Melty Blood, but you guys can go nuts as long as none of it interferes with what we are doing. Basically, if someone is in your tourney at the same time as ours, they need to get off the game and play their match or DQ it is. Dqing is going to be WORSE this year, and I DQed a lot of people last year in games. It’s been steady, from 5, to 10, to 20 people last year. I plan on doubling that. NO patience on time this year.
Humbag: It’s still $20 for cover charge. There’s still one more announcement about qualifiers that has not been made yet.
Keits: Whatever SRK/EVO rules are we will be using.
They haven’t decided yet. it’d be nice to know in advance.
