I’ll bring one for you to use for fri/sat/sun, or whatever day you need
20-something inch flat screet fatty TV with regular and component inputs.
I’m looking forward to it because from what I understand you did a great job running things last year. So I’ll help you out any way I can, because I doubt I’ll be moving out to NC by the time this event happens. I can also loan a DVD-R if needed, but we’ll figure that out when it gets closer.
Anyway, plan on using my TV for SNK the entire weekend.
zass: We’re using US style Competition Sticks with a Hard Spring. Small chance we might use Ultimates w/hard spring if these are not up to par, but they are the iL versions, and not the new Happ ones, but consider it Happ Comps until further notice.
It dusplays Garou and all my ps2 games in their native resokution, thich is usually 480p. It has like an auto-tuner type thing. So ig I bust in AC, it’ll display at 480p, but it I bust in DMC4, it displays at 1080. The only difference is that it looks abit nicer cuz it’s lcd. I ca up the specs if u really want me to, but I’m just saying, I could do all my links and stuff no problem as soon as I took the tv out of the box.
luigi: your tv, only has one resolution, which is the native resolution. jsut because the tv accepts signals at 480i up to 1080p doesnt mean the tv is displaying em at those resoultions. the tv is downscaling/upscaling/de-interlacing when you are feeding the tv any signal that doesnt 100% match the tv’s native resolution, which causes processing time. i would highly recommend scoring a copy of guitar hero 2 or 3 for xbox 360, and use the calibration test in all the resolution settings the 360 has, to see if theres lag.
i dont know how good you are at fighting games, so its hard to go off a person’s opinion on lag, and rely on it. there could be 1-2 frames of lag, which can affect games, even tho you dont really feel it.
just throwing that out there so you dont mislead people and i nthe end, it ends up being lag, that others can feel =/
gh3 works for ps3 as well. just make sure you are hooked up with atleast component cables. then do the calibration test in 480i and 480p (set these resolutions in the crossbar menu)
Basically anything NOT ST is going to have 360s. So the whole arcade= 360s minus the old man CPS2 corner.
It looks like I was able to obtain 3 Japanese ST boards, so we’ll use those SPECIFICALLY for the 2 vs 2 quals, on Default SPEED 3, which on US boards is DEAFULT Speed 2.
