Dream/Sabre dont take much of what I say seriously, I just get nervous about these kinda things (i aint got no arcade near to practice on and I dont have a US stick to practice on).
With tridashes, you dont want want hit the corners or else you get magneto boom.
More than anything, besides making AHVBs a snap, imo its most preferable for repeated fast flights/unflights/reflights. I like corners for blocking magneto but if you notice the game has evolved more offensively than defensively.
As for the SBO thing, I know they have some arcades in Europe but I don’t think its anything on the level of Japan, or probably even America. Im not sure where possibly console qualifiers were, but I know in the UK there are arcades but they are generally shitty for various reasons. Most of the arcades’ main income is from legal gambling machines, while the cabinets are more secondary. The management is also often pissy and uncooperative, and the staffers are generally the same or worse. Only the huge arcades in London would get relatively new games, and those places were similar to a Sega Dreamworks or Dave n Busters, with lots of other simulation-type games, ticket machines, etc that were given much more care than any of the fighting game cabinets. Im not sure how it is in the other countries, I believe some qualifiers were held in Belgium,Germany, or France, but I can’t speak to those situations. Just saying that although there are arcades in London, for example, I could rattle off a list of detrimental complaints for every one I visited.

Graham has been to MWC before, but that was for Alpha 2, and it was 1996.
Humbag: It’s cool, I can see where not having an arcade cabinet to play on is the issue, but you can get an American stick pretty easily. It’s not like I have Comp Hard Springs lined up near me either, I have to get all these things together and work on them and the cabinets the week of the tournament, so it’s going to be rough. Running the SBO tournament is the easiest part.
Put yourself in our shoes too, basically our format was killed and there was an uproar because consoles are easier to move and everyone can play on a stick, and there were just fewer and fewer arcades around. Ended up being a business decision for EVO a few years ago, and not as many years as you think. (Console EVO only started happening in 2004) It’s just rough to go from 13+ years of arcade, then expect to be able to play on the floor or relearn situational gameplay without having freeflow movement on a cabinet, it’s rougher than most people think, which is one of the reasons why when it comes to Japan vs USA tournaments, the only thing we can get them on IS console.

No official announcements yet but there are plans for a West Coast SBO Qualifier for the same games. However, I am 99.99999% sure that it’ll use the EXACT SAME HARDWARE that Midwest Championships will be using, and will be on arcade, not console.

Dark geese, thing is, if we have to share that TV with Arcana, would you be ok with giving us a time slot for Arcana? It’s just one tourney out of the 11-12 you have listed. If not, i’ll try to work something else out, but according to dreamTR, there’s not gonna be any extra space at all for even one more TV…

Geese and Nana, you guys can BRING a TV if you want to have TWO Tvs for yourself, but we won;t have any to spare, so in that same side area where you had Neo games before, do the tourneys over there on 2 TVs, one that you will need to bring tha twe can not provide.

I can bring an extra T.V and all the SNK games mentioned above (via PS2). I also have a laptop with 6 of the SNK games on the lineup. This just saved the tournament.
BTW 3S is stupid and boring to watch/play, unless someone is playing Yun.
