Were you watching the same clip?
It wasn’t one ultra combo. It wasn’t even one combo.
A)Sim is weak. Very weak.
B) Thats the point of ultra combos. To do big damage.
That’s why I didn’t confirm or deny he was going to be on the DVD. I hadn’t heard of that match.
Thead title is ridiculously misleading.
=\
The audio quality seems very good compared to every other japandese tourney video Ive seen. The commentator was very crisp and clear.
In the 1 match, single elim format, mental state/nerves are a huge factor in the matchup. Kyabetsu was on point here, while at some point Iyo and Shiro got rattled. For Shiro, it was some point right in the middle of the second round, and he was never able to come back from that. You’ll be able to see it for yourselves when the DVD hits.
I’m kinda confused which magazine to order for the SF4 SBO vids. Can someone please link me the ones I need so I can ship an order. Thanks.
Big damage, no problem. 50% damage, bullshit. I like the idea of giving a chance for comeback but when I’ve been raping say a, sagat and I’m up 50% on him, I make one bad teleport, its completely even. Then my ultra sucks in terms of damage and I am back to square one.
I know I probably shouldn’t be fanning the flames any further, but in reality a lot of fighters are like that, especially in high level play. You’ve got a huge life lead, and you make one mistake and bam—2 combos later, you’re dead. Hell I’ve seen more comebacks akin to that in Super Turbo.
Edit: HOWEVER everyone is entitled to their opinion, so kudos.
this
yeah, welcome to the majority of fighting games released in the past decade and a half. also the other player deserves credit for an amazingly clutch punish of that teleport, it looks like he literally predicted the teleport since he began dashing before Dhalsim did it, he deserved that win. thats the story of that, not the ultra: dude got in, did some damage, then guessed correctly that dhalsim was going to teleport and punished him hard for it.
Of course, but , my point was not that many fighters are not that way, but that they shouldn’t be that way. Also, at least other games have huge punish combos that take skill to execute, but even a ken noob can ultra.
except the video you’re talking about is incredibly skillful use of the ultra, and ken’s ultra is garbage and one of the hardest to land in the game and now you’re not even talking about the video but the time your dhalsim ate an ultra and how bad it made you feel
so maybe you should shut up
Arcadia Magazine November 09 Issue
iyo got RAPED. team kof really raped the hihest teired teams in sbo this year. mago was killed bythem, iyo and shiro in the finals by them, and wasnt daigos team also killed by them? they wrecked house.
No Daigo’s team got eliminated by Umeso/Dashio.
I don’t know why people keep bringing up that Oogosho/Kyabetsu are kof players. It’s irrelevant…it’s not like they just came out of nowhere from kof and started winning, they had to play just as much as most of the other top players. On top of that, most top players in SF4 are migrating players from other games (Nemo being a kof and GG player, Denpa being an Melty player, Itazan/Fudo being VF players, etc).
It’s not that we keep reminding people they’re KOF players. It’s their team name at SBO is actually called “Team KOF”.
Does the DVD with the magazine have all the SFIV matches? I thought they were supposed to be much more expensive.
