People donât seem to understand: Fugee and Ghaleon donât have to do shit in the way of giving those outside the event a viewing to the matches. Nothing. So, anything they DO provide by way of stream or youtube, or DVD is a plus to everyone. Unappreciative people arenât going to see it that way. They feel everything should be given to them, with no regard for those that DID take the time and save the money and make the plans to attend. If you were able to actually attend and you are a fan of Marvel, SF4 and what Fugee and Ghaleon are doing in general, the hype of the event the grudge matches, the tournaments and the Main Event is your reward for going. If you really wanted to go but couldnât, I empathize with you. If you never planned to go, but still think you should be entitled to see everything, Buy a one-way ticket out of Selfishville, Whinyton and live in the real world.

We donât treat people like dirt here, unless they deserve to be treated like dirt. You, for example, have done nothing for this community, ever. You somehow feel like the organizers of this amazing tournament owe you even more than the awesome, completely free, live stream that you are going to get. Obviously, you feel like you deserve a whole lot of shit, for some reason. Because of that, you need to be met with a certain level of opposition, to bring your head back down to where it needs to be. You need to understand that you are nothing, to this community. Harsh, but true. In this community, there are those that run major tournaments, those that run local tournaments, those that participate in the tournaments, those that donât participate, but still support by buying DVDs, stick sacks, IGN accounts, etc⌠and then there are those that mooch off of everything, donât show up anywhere, and bitch.
That list was in order of importance, btw.

When I first came to this site, there were a bunch of players having discussions that were clearly over my head. What did I do? I shut the fuck up, and read. Thatâs it. My opinion was of zero value to the discussions being had. I understood my place. Over time, I came to understand things a lot better, posted more, learned more, won a few tournaments here and there, started running locals, ran a major⌠whatever. I talk the way I do, because Iâve done enough in this community on almost all fronts, to be able to speak with knowledge. You want to have the same stature. You want your opinions to matter as much as mine do⌠but they canât, because you havenât done a tenth of what I have. You donât have the same level of understanding.
If you just understood that, thereâd be no problem. But you donât. Itâs like Cole said⌠most people here donât even know enough to understand that they donât know shit. You would fall into that category.
Itâs not even about you vs. me, or my stature. I donât take this shit that seriously. Itâs about you v. your own stature. Just understand that you might not get everything. There are people here, myself included, who have taken the time to explain shit to you, numerous times⌠but youâre just not listening, because⌠I donât know, you canât read with your eyes tearing up, because weâre not being nice to you⌠well toughen up, and most importantly, shut up, and just understand that you just might not understand this one.

The difference here is they COULD provide the stream and are choosing not to.
By streaming the rest of the event but not the Daigo/Wong match they are basically saying âfuck youâ to the people who canât attend. Itâs a bitch move, through and through. Stream the whole thing or donât stream at all.
I wonât be buying the DVD because if you want to provide some kind of âDVD exclusiveâ why not provide interviews or money matches that didnât show up on the stream? The whole thing reeks of money grubbing. Thank god for youtube.

but yeah, his points are valid. I probably have more in common with current 09erâs than the older crowd, but the 09ers need to relax. Just for a moment consider how much of a pain in the ass it is to set up a live stream with commentary. Do you see how much equipment DJ wheat and those guys have set up? that takes alot of money and work to move all that equipment from one set up to another.
And try running a fucking tournament in anything. Call up your frat buddies or whatever and try and run a fucking beer pong tournament, and youll see how difficult it is to run. Now just imagine trying to herd hundreds of lazy SF nerds into a standardized double elimination bracket. It sucks ass! ask Marn and his GG nightmare!
