OK, some more changes
A: **We made a payment site so it’s easy on everyone – you just click on what you’re buying (# of games + venue fee) and it will link you to Paypal, **with your cost filled in already. Remember that pre-reg is REQUIRED so brackets can games can start promptly. SFIV will be especially huge so it’s very important. We should be able to launch it by the start of next week, as long as Paypal cooperates.
For Paypal payments, your **FULL NAME and SRK HANDLE **must be included in the message. We can’t stress this enough, because Paypal only tracks e-mail and one name (most likely you set it up with your real name). We will need full name + SRK handle + your location included in each player’s payment!!! So if you’re paying for someone else, you need to give us their info in full in the payment message.
B: We’re working out this week whether we can get a group rate for area hotels. We should be good.
C: **We are scrapping Soul Calibur 4. **We talked to some people for advice, and it seems more beneficial for SB to use the resources + time for SFIV/SF:HD/BB. We apologize to all Namco players!
D: **We might be able to do a side tourney or two on Sunday as long as we aren’t running way behind with Playstation 3 games. **Possible side tourney games: KoF XII, SC4, T5:DR. These are NOT guaranteed tournies and we are making sure no one has the impression that they are. If doing one or more is possible we will make an announcement on the day.
E: Venue fee is now $25. We apologize for not realizing sooner that $25 would be necessary. We’re still below other major events, and for what we provide we hope everyone understands the extra resources we need this year to cover SB4.
F: T-shirts will still be a go. It’ll be a black shirt with the green SB4 logo like in our av, but obviously a large image. Since we have the site coming up, we should be able to add a button to buy a shirt for cheaper than at the venue ($10 if you buy with your online payment, or $15 on tournament weekend)
Will shirts be sold seperately or will they be a part of the over all venue charge? From what I read here, I am under the impression that they will be sold seperately. If so, will there only be one style?
One style because it’s most cost-effective to make one big batch (of different sizes). Yeah it’s a separate charge. We’re not charging Hot Topic prices or anything though.

Well unless you pre-reg like a week before, we’ll be ordering decent quantities in all sizes, and we should be able to track the T-shirt orders and who ordered what, as well.
Yes, we need everyone, even spectators, to pay for the venue to be there. Space is going to be very tight, it’s expensive to host, and we can’t have tons of onlookers coming and going who did not contribute, esp considering the world-class play we’ll have. This is a closed event. We want max people exposed to the SF scene and all, but people will have to stick to vids if they can’t make it out. We’re doing everything we can to make SB is WORTH a spectator’s dough though, hopefully that’s apparent.
We might do badges or something similar, Final Round/Evo-style
Uh UMK3 is a lock unless Tim Static’s machine catches fire. We never said anything about dedicated SNK anything. We’re focusing on what’s going to bring hundreds of people into Columbus and maximize the most people’s time and interest, so yes we can’t do it like the old days and do a lot of side stuff, we apologize, that’s why we aren’t guaranteeing any side stuff to mislead and tantalize people, but saying if we have space/time at the event, they can happen.
In happier news, we’re looking confident about our main event proposal. Gears are turning and I’m hoping we can definitely confirm it by next week.
edit: For casuals: we’re going to try to confirm that the Red Roof has usable TVs. Last year I think they had half CRTs, half flat panels, even when we asked beforehand if all the rooms had CRTs. We haven’t laid out our floor plan but the vast majority of esp. Sat will be for tourney play. There will be some casual stations, but with so many games vying for play your best bet is to play in the hotel on your downtime, like any major.
Man, in all seriousness, you’re going to need a security staff now. I know some locals from the regional conventions that can pull it off.

Supposedly he wants to cover 2k of himself and his state (texas) which I dominate is willing to back him another 2 or 3k. So lets go ahead and confirm this here toan.
Fugee mentioned that smooth viper would like to play me… its hard to pay without the hate/anger pushing me into full focus (as was witnessed with me getting scraped 2-0 by bill) but I still humbly accept this match. I’ll back 2 to 300 at the most.
Remix mentioned if I came to sb he would play me on a pad using obd provided I use a stick…I would still like this match. He said he would do 100 and I’d like first dibs on side bets up to 300 bucks. I also would like this match to happen last of all because this match will definitely expose pad weaknesses (I’m going to exploit them for the free money).
Matrix. Him and I have played twice and each time I’ve lost. Each one was 3/5 and 20 bucks. Hard to keep that focus after 5 consecutive money matches some of for notes and then switching to a 3/5 for 20. This one I would like to be a long set so we can finally see who fares better in this matchup. I’ve lost every match I’ve played against matrix though so I’m gonna need a minor incentive if any EC is willing to back him. I’d like odds if possible but we can discuss all minutiae at the tournament.
Finally I want a ft7 with Jwong for a humble 100 bucks. Now the 100 with justin and I will be straight up if he accepts. I’m sure a few people think I’ll get scraped pretty bad so if anyone wants to talk some stipulation stuff with me i.e. I won’t get 4 games I’ll get ocv’d 3 times or anything of the sort you can pm me or discuss it with me right before the match and you can get the free money from betting on Justin (which always seems to pay off).
ooo one more match blazinflo said he would match me on a stick but then kinda backed down. I’ll use stick spot you 5 games and probably give you odds if you would like to do this match ft 10 still. I can wear a patch on one eye and tape the other one shut also if you’d like. Just name the stipulation. I’ll play upside down with crossed hands and no obd OR assists you can pick one character I must take a shot for every round I win I must be engaged in a stimulating interview during the match and answer random trivia questions and do mathematical calculations in a combination of spanish and piglatin if you’d like.
