Yeah, but even whoring your body to several aristocrats for arcade parts was popular then. How else do you buy stick parts? Working? Psshhh.
Rep for you, sir.
I might be able to get enough money by then, but we’ll see. I’m just super strapped for money. It’s hard for me to find good work just because I don’t have a reliable car.
ty.
Wainut, if you really want, go ahead and get the $27 assembly kit. It’s really easy to put to together and I can do it for free. Just know that I haven’t had the chance to fuck with the MC part of it.
Missing SB is like missing Christmas imo.
Missing SB is like missing your child’s birth, or their first steps.
Everyone, keep an eye out for the online system once it’s set up!
You can get the $19 standard Cthulhu and someone will assemble it. If he doesn’t have time to do it for you, I will.
Well I just relized this is on the same day as my Brother’s 21st.
I’ll still be able to enter, but I won’t be able to help out as much as I’d like to.
I’ll be bringing a full brawl setup. (TV, Wii, game, etc).
Do we need surge protectors?
Yup, anything like that we’ll need. However if you can’t stick around most of the weekend, it would be not so good if you had to leave and take surge protectors before the whole tourney was over. Long story short – please bring stuff like that so it’s around if we need it. Thanks to everyone again in advance for volunteering equipment.
Also, we’re really going to need a lot of Playstation 3’s this year, if that wasn’t obvious, so the venue discounts on setups will apply as usual. Fugee and I were just saying we need to start confirming setups, so feel free to post in the thread if you can confirm you’d like a venue discount and what you could bring, and we’ll keep a running list of what people are volunteering.
With the online prepay system in place, we might have to do venue discounts as cash back on tournament day.
Well, right now I have a PS1, 2, and 3 along with my Yobo. I may pick up another older system by then if things improve.
Also, I’m sure Tom is willing to lend equipment again.
Count me for a PS2 you can use for the weekend and any games you need Ghaleon, plus I do have some surge protectors if your wanting those. Just let me know man.
Sorry Tiggy for not responding man in forever, been busy with a bunch of personal crap, but Im back and definetly not missing out on this event.
Thanks for letting me know about Popoblo Doctor, takes me forever to read the boards to. So if anyone sees him, let Popoblo know I want to get a match in with him, even if he is retired.
While Im throwing out challenges, how about a 3s match Chickenphat? Been a long time, but I don’t think I’ve gotten any better.
Just a rehash of what I can bring:
[]20 inch CRT x2
[]PS3 w/ SCIV, SFIV, BB, KOFXII, HDR, MvC2 (if on PS3) x1 of each
[]PS2 w/ 3S, GG x1 of each
[]Wii w/ TvC, SSBB x1 of each
Those CRTs take up my whole backseat, so most of my hotel roomies will have to drive separately. Totally worth it if it helps things run even smoother. I should be able to bring a few power strips too (some have surge protection, some don’t).
Oh, I do have two CRTs this time, however one of them is small. Perhaps I should say one and a half. Oh well.
Also a pile of power strips and other various cables and equipment.
I dont think I’ll go, I went last year, and got destroyed. I personally dont think I’m good enough to hang, but maybe things will change by Oct.
:wtf: You’ve gotta be better than me. Come hang, play casuals, eat rice bowl goodness!
None of this “I’m not good enough” business in the SB4 thread. I suck too, I never won a tourney or came close in my life. But tourneys aren’t just about winning, they’re also about improving, and meeting new people…possibly even discovering a new FG for yourself. If nothing else, just come out and hang as radicaledward101 said
I think casuals are the best part of a tourney IMO
YEAH Tiggy! Go for the competition and for the “learnding” experience.
I guess.
Yeah, I agree, the tourney isn’t really about winning to most of the people who go.
It’s about casuals, money matches, watching top players, socializing. And in SB4’s case, eating as much Raisin Cane’s chicken as possible and drinking bubble tea.
Mmm…Chicken…
