Hey all,
This is going to be the final tournament of the school year. Come on out for some fun!
Where: San Francisco State University, Rack N Cue http://www.sfsustudentcenter.com/entertainment/rackncue.php
When: Saturday 5/1/10 Open at noon
Sign ups: noon -1:30pm
Tournament Starts at 2pm!
Games:
All games will be double elimination. Any games with less than 8 contestants may be cancelled.
Fee: $10 per game (pay to play)
Prizes: 70/20/10 (we are working on some extra raffle prizes)

btw, what are people’s thoughts on 10 dollar entry + pay to play?
i personally like 5 entry + pay to play so it can have people enter more games without having to get 4th mortages.

ill try to make it, but i may not as I may be still high off of SSF4 release. And i prefer a $10 entry fee because the winnings are so much better.
is this console or cab only
What parts are we looking at on the machines? I haven’t been to SFSU in a while.
I woudn’t mind 10$ pay to play if BB:CS was on event mode…:sad:

I’d be more into this if it were an SSF4 tourney. It’s gonna be hard for me to want to go back to vanilla after whoring out Juri for a few days.

So far I haven’t got a single complaint about the $10 entry fee.
This is arcade cab only.
BB:CS will be on event mode.
I know SSF4 will be out, but we can only do tournies on what we have. I’m still expecting a big turn out.

I think people will care, it’s not like things’ll be so deep in that no one can go back to Vanilla SF4. If it was like…a week and a half or so then maybe I’d say this is weird, but 3 days? Hell not even everyone who’s gonna buy this guy will have it by then, or even had enough time to mess with it (if they have jobs and school etc).

Erm unless they bring an HD TV and bring a PS3 or 360, nah.
And if they decide to do that, I believe that would be a separate event from the actual RnC tourney and would be responsible for operating it independently. At least that’s how it worked in the past.
Do enough people usually show up for Marvel? If so, I’ll probably come out to this.
I think I’ll have to make it to this. I’d prefer if it were $5 entry fee too.
