Fei is still tops even with all the damage nerfs.
He still has good match ups all across the board.
Akuma gives him trouble but Akuma gives lots of characters trouble.
I feel now that Akuma Sagat is like 5.5-4.5 in Akuma’s favour
This is the best the match up has been since Vanilla
I am still considering learning Fei just so I can become a Mago dickrider.

Well I meant more in concept, cause initially akuma had the combined attributes of the shotos in sf2. I know it’s possible for akuma to lose cause from my own first hand experience I know it can be done. Last night I tried my best and was only able to draw it even, but even then I felt like akuma still had a distinct edge in the matches. I suppose my issue with akuma is that you can’t just fight him casually or take the fight lightly, he demands that you be alert and very aware of the match so if your even just slightly absent minded or distracted he will shit stomp you for free. I don’t like how I have to concentrate so hard agaisnt him just so I can break even and I feel this mainly because akuma is just to strong for player skill to overcome.

As I am clearly the best for using a bad character, the numerous annihilations I have received mean nothing standing beside the moral victory of losing with the character that I chose to select, but was not forced to, that had the slight disadvantage against your braindead, free win characters.

I did better last night, today I got destroyed. Moved in to much and tried to rush him down which was stupid…if you pick fei we will not mirror match because that mirror is worse then law vs law lol. It’s literally a match where no one can move forward, against mago I felt like there was a wall halfway on the screen.
I thought akuma vs sagat was 6-4 akuma in sf4 because of the loop?
Also wasn’t akuma in sf4 the best character before it got pulled…everytime mago and tokido fought I always saw mago get smacked around for free.

I don’t like fighting akuma because I feel like I’m holding my breath the entire match.
Ry is fun to fight and so is chun and Honda. Those matches feel like a movin chess match compared to fighting akuma,viper,el furte and sim which just feels like a lesson in frustration.
And a bonus, the infamous match where Daigo was asking everyone who this Fei Long player was because he was worried about him (the match that Daigo didn’t know was a tourney match and was all surprised after he won because he thought it was just casuals):
