Your not a good player, you never placed high or won even regional local tournaments. You’ve never done anything in the community outside just being a dickrider, and you know it’s the truth. You do some theory fighter talking in your Calgary thread, you do casuals with the top guys in your community but that’s about all you got going for you. Sure your all buddy buddy with them and maybe chill out and smoke a few here and there with them but dude…everything about your position in the community is identical to that of a groupie…except your a guy lol. At any rate man, your not a good player or even slightly decent enough for me or anyone else to take notice. As a man you emasculate yourself daily with the amount of times you bend yourself over for your friends, so either way there really isn’t any real good reason to continue indulding you. Shane buy it is like dirt cheap…cause honestly I would hate the idea of just running SF4 sets.
Nos: Shane is a great player, the other guys are not. He has a basis in which to talk down to me because his wins over me give his points some tangible weight behind them. Even if I was rusty or out of practice or whatever, bottom line is he still won so any argument from me would be illogical and just a way to reflect the loss.
When other guys troll me, they dont even come close to beating me so their points instantly become invalid. It becomes more of a"exactly who are you and where do you get off saying this"issue with them…especially when they start throwing in personal attacks which don’t have anything to do with the subject being discussed.

Playing SF4 weaken my 3s game…its nothing new. Besides im sure you have heard more unique excuses then that, like c’mon your from a community full of creative excuse makers haha.

I run brackets, record videos, bring setups, do ranbat sheets and generally do all I can to forward the community in any way possible

Remember like last year when you were on your 3rd or 4th reboot the scene after getting banned binge, and I told you exactly what to do to grow your community? I’ve been really busy with school lately. I haven’t been able to play at all. But i know one guy on saskgamers who wants to play SFxT and a few of my friends are a little interested. IDK man its hard to get people to commit to a game.
I think when i find time to play fighting games again I’m going to switch to KoF13. It seems like everyone here is switching from SF4 and SFxTw won’t be the main game in Sask…
I do believe if we want to grow as a community, we should post on Saskgamers more so we get more exposure and all that jazz. Its just a suggestion though, shoryuken has its benefits as well. I think its worth discussing this and have input from everyone

Edit: If anyone wants to me to fuck off with all this discussion shit and saskgamers advocating its fine. I’m pretty new to the scene here and I dont fully grasp how the FGC and local scenes work.
You know Darrek, considering your the one who ignited the flames to all of this your in no real position to talk…just saying. Although doc there is maybe only like 4-5 cool people you would meet there, cause the second you start beating people just watch the egos flare and you’ll see how"fun"and polite people start acting lol. The only alternative is to kiss ass like a lot of Calgary guys do here but…if you respect your manhood I don’t see it as a viable option.
And no doc you have the right idea in mind. I was hoping with this new thread, the sask guys would have posted more but it seems like many of them are even less active then before. I don’t really know how to lure in more players, and after I explained the cause of why the scene failed on saskgamers I was really hoping things will be different. I’ll post on there to see if anything sparks, and hopefully with sfxt the scene can get somewhat of a boast.
Shane: I’m to ingrained into sf4 mechanics now and with sfxt coming out soon, any progress I make in 3s would just get diluted by the time I put into sfxt.I would need to completely isolated myself from modern capcom games to have some shot at 3s again.
Ric, your presumptions about the Calgary scene are pretty off base.
Let me break down WHY the Calgary scene works as well as it does:
We’re friends. Most of us hang out for more than just gaming. We all have a vested interest in our scene developing and growing. And I feel sorry for you that when you see friends supporting one another or standing up for one another you consider it ass kissing.
