Sorry I couldnt make it guys, but I heard at least 7+ people showed up so thats great. Im glad toon town fights is back in business and Ill be sure to show up next time. Thanks again jay for hosting and im sorry about the last minute change of plans, I was kind of in the middle of some personal issues that I had to resolve asap. Thanks for understanding though and thanks to all the guys who showed up. I hope this gathering has inspired some of you guys to come out more often and be sure to check back on this thread for announcements on future events.
Oh and as for the team qualifiers thing in CC2 I cant make it, its held on a friday and ill be in calgary saturday morning. Its so shitty that some players whom Im leagues better then will get the chance to qualify and possibly even make it in the teams and I gotta watch it all on the side…sigh oh well:(
Anyways what does everyone think about SFXT, the game is looking a bit confusing with so many sub systems running around. Dont get me wrong im still hyped for the game but certain aspects of the sub systems like the gem system dont sit well with me…I guess we will just have to wait and see how it all works out. On the character front im glad law is making it in the game as he will replace my need for fei. My 2nd will be either yoshi or vega but im kind of leaning towards yoshi a bit just because I mained him back all the way to T2.
If yoshi plays to shitty though ill probably just pick vega. The one reason I would pick vega is because of his footsie/spacing nature which is very similar to how fei plays. Granted his role in SF4 was negated by the fact that he only hovered around the mid/low tier region but hopefully in SFXT he will be applicable in high level competition and have a actual presence in tournament play.
haha, I have a (somewhat) friend who goes there like all the time. I still dont even know where the hell it is or what (I think its a small town but I really dont have any clue). Supposedly a cool place I guess?
My hype for SFXT is now gone, after that promotional video and a bad review from ultradavid I have no hope for the game. Its a damn shame cause the game had great potential but the gimmicky gem shit just ruined it. Its like getting deepthroated by some hot bitch then having her gag and puking all over your dick…total mood kill. Oh well at least KOF13 is still on its way and UMVC3 does look kind of gun with that heros and heralds mode. I still dont take that game seriously a tournament title but it does look like of fun to play casually.

The ultradavid thing was linked in the SFXT thread I think, like the general thread one. I didnt actually read it but heard from the guys posting there that ultradave trashed it pretty hard during his time with the latest build. Id like to believe its good but if its anything like MVC3 then yikes…did you that phoenix mirror match at SB?

Oh you know what really blows, I cant compete in HDR or 3s this year in CC cause im coming like towards the afternoon on sat. Thats a damn shame too cause I would have fucked up almost everyone in those 2 games:(
