Vega would be a waste of a slot…well guess it depends on which version he is based off. If its SF2 vega then cool, but if its his shitty SF4 self then why bother it would just be a waste of a slot. Instead they should add more SF3 and alpha characters that we didnt see featured in SF4. I dig the juggle system in SFxT though, looks very flashy and high damaging…also I hope this game doesnt have the gay damage scaling of SF4.
Vega is an interesting character with some cool ideas put into him (claw, mask, walldives)
As a plain bruce lee clone with 2 sets of rekkas (yes, chicken wing is essentially a rekka) and a DP, Fei is a pretty boring and uninspired character.
Vega is interesting in terms of his look, but when you break him down hes just another charge character with the same downback playstyle that is typical of turtles. Fei on the other hand is all about controlling space and knowing your ranges, he essentially is what SF is all about which is what makes him so great.

I obviously hacked Ric’s account and posed the challenge to myself. Of course since Ric didn’t actually make the challenge he didn’t know about it and didn’t show up. It was all an elaborate attempt to tarnish Ric’s otherwise flawless reputation, you see.
I’m with you in not understanding the whole ‘he’s not real’ thing. Clearly I’m a person, in that I am creating posts. One could also be fairly certain that I’m from saskatoon since I know so much about the place. Everything Ric said about tracing my IP and asking HT/people from the cove about someone ‘matching my description’ is obviously false as he has no description of me to match.
Is Ric afraid that I’m an alternate personality of his that manifested out of his fear of not being good at SF and have come to challenge him?

you should probably pay more attention to what jamie is doing
coincedentally you play one of the two or three characters in the game who are better on the ground than vega is, but you still find a lot of different ways to lose to him

Although if i were you i wouldnt talk considering you use a character who excels at mix ups yet ive never seen u beat any good vegas. I guess applying a top tier mix up game on a character with no options on wake up must be to difficult lol.

Vega is about controlling the space in front of him as much as any character in the game. Plus, as much as you say Vega can sit on down back, Fei can do the same with similar success (and more, because he has a dragon punch). I mean… are we even playing the same game?
Also, has it occurred to you that Cody has beaten Jamie on occasion? They are, you know, brothers. I doubt Jamie has a perfect record against him. Just because you haven’t seen it doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened.
(Actually, Cody had to fight Jamie in the Canada Cup high rollers tournament, and I think that went down to the last round of the last game, meaning Cody beat a good Vega in a match with Abel at an event you attended. Clearly you did your research on this one!)

Once Ric loses his first online game to some nobody he will quit because his SF fundamentals he’s been sharpening for the last 20 years will not give him an instant victory. This also explains why the only games hes enthusiastic about are games from the main sf series. Every other game he’s given a chance we have witnessed him quit early due to getting bodied and not wanting to invest the time into learning a new game engine.
My belief is he turns into this poster when falling asleep with 5 super bars stocked. At that point he just CANT…CONTROL…IT!
This would also explain why:
a) He knows for a fact this poster is not “real” (This alter ego is merely a splice of Ric’s good side of his personality, the noble knight of his brain, which is unfathomable to us and cannot be real)
b) He knows for sure this poster has no “gamertag” (Alter egos cannot legally obtain credit cards and thus cannot sign up for xbox live gold, rendering it impossible for him to hold a “gamertag”)
c) He knows for a fact that this poster did not call HTA or show up to the challenge (He wasn’t asleep during those hours, so he knows this couldn’t have happened)
d) He knows his IP address and location (the alter ego does not live in Saskatoon as it is merely a spirit with no physical boundaries, thus cannot set a “location” in his SRK profile)
e) He is actually scared of this poster’s challenge. Ric is Godlike and is scared of no mere mortal. No one is on Ric’s level. When presented with an equal challenge, he is instantly frightened.

Got to say I’m excited. I spend so much time at University or around that SF4 iPhone has got me through many a boring meeting. Can’t wait to play as Vega! And it’ll have wifi battles.
Although I’m sure there’s people who think that these iOS versions are jokes, they’re pretty damn fun.
And it’s a Helluva lot cheaper than buying a 3DS with SSFIV:3D.
