As a programmer, I have no idea how a “senior programmer at a Forbes 500 company” could track the IP of static data entered in a database days ago. You can’t track an IP if you don’t have a TCP or UDP connection to said IP, or unless SRK leaves traces of stuff hidden in their database (possible, but unlikely you’d be able to access it without seriously breaking the terms of service for this site… if that’s what you did, you’ve basically hacked SRK and pulled private data about a member out for your own personal gain). But don’t worry, I know you won’t share your methods for doing this likely impossible task with the public. As far as I know, logged IPs are not data available to the public on SRK.

As for “proof that he’s real”, how about:

• he’s clearly a person behind a keyboard, typing words… what he calls himself is immaterial
• he accepted your challenge and said he would be there

If you went there and HE didn’t show up, then you have a leg to stand on. If you didn’t think he would EVER show up, then don’t issue the challenge. When you issue the challenge and not show up yourself because you somehow “knew” that HE wouldn’t show up anyway, it’s 100% on you! Can’t you see this basic chain of logic?

First off dalton I’ll be perfectly blunt and say that it would be a waste of you’re guys time to come out for the 4 vs 4. First off merlin, so far the only thing I agree with you on is that the only people who should be involved in this discussion are the ones who play these games. With that said since I’m a top player my opinion instantly means a lot more, in fact its really the only one that matters out of everyone here. Therefore when a new game is released I’m gonna have a lot to say on it, and clearly MVC3 is no exception.

I’m not a “so called top player”, I am a top player. Believe it or not some of us don’t always use cite opinion as a source to validate a claim as fact, some of us actually rely on hard evidence to verify a claim. With that said I have more then enough verification and hard evdence from my victories over top players and praise from top players that my status as a top player is more then justified…in fact its justfified a good 10 times over by now.

As for the drama, I’m glad its over as well. I don’t have any hard feelings towards anyone and me and Allison’s hate for each other has ended. I hope we can all come together someday and just have fun again like in the old days, so this tournament can hopefully be the start of something new for sask.

Im the only player in my province to place top 8 at high level tournamets and beat top players and actually talk with said top players, if anyone’s opinions over fighting games is more valid it would be mine then some random forum users.

Right now my goal with MK9 just to be the best cage player in the WC which shouldnt be to hard lol.

It will be my main for the time being untill AE comes out, and hopefully by then we all will have a better of idea of how far this game can go.
A hour worth of training is all I needed and now im ready to get the experience against players to become the best MK player in the province.Basically my strategy is just to play the spacing game with him like I do fei and go from there. In the few matches I had I used lots of the same techniques I would use with fei and got pretty good results. Im thinking it wont take me that long before I become top again at this game, so if anyone wants to get in some games with me before I get to good now is the time!

Impossible, Ill get just as good in MK9 as I was in SF4. I’ll be the undisputed #1 in MK9!

Foger out of everyone in sask and ab or Canada I put in the least amount of time in this game. I can promise that out of all the players here, everyone puts in 10 times the amount of time and effort. The difference being that they don’t know how to spend the time properly.

Yawn im getting quite bored so I dont know how else I can say this so Ill just be direct and hopefully that will solve everything…I DONT CARE lol. Hey pawn this weekend I there is a strikeforce event coming on, so here is what Im thinking. I might work on friday and have the weekend off, in this case I was thinking we could watch the event and then get in some long ass sets afterwards. We could either go somewhere to eat beforehand or just order from verns or something. Ill also try to get some more people this time, no promises but ill give it a good effort.

Well its a non issue the way I see it, its about the games and thats all it should be about IMO. We shouldnt let the remarks of 2-4 users ruin a entire thread or speak for the community. Im trying to build something and just want to play the game.

We can easily work together to host a community for everyone, because in the end of the day its just a game and playing a game shouldnt be this dramatic or difficult.

There is general misconception over the amount of people I have a "beef"with. Like I said outside just 2-3 users on here no one else in the community has a problem with me. I used to want others to reaffirm what i thought of myself (being number one) and was really sensitive to criticism, but you really have to accept that what you have done is the best you could have done and if others perceive that differently than you do then you need to step back and let them have their own opinion. If they’re offensive and abrasive about it then so much the better, take the high road and relax.

Being competitive is OK but whenever you do things that involve other people sometimes you have to step back and think about how they would react to it

You’ve earned a lot of the criticism that is in this thread (not all of it) but you need to realize there’s a certain point where others can get offended about what you say and do. If you ahte being lonely and depressed so much than this is what I would consider good advice. If you like being the bad guy than that’s a serious problem and you should probably consult someone who knows what they’re talking about… becuase from my perspective I seriously don’t consider being a bad guy a healthy thing to do

It’s OK to say what’s on your mind and what you feel but you have to be rational otherwise you WILL just look like a dick. A lot of times when people say stuff to you trying to help you out you should REALLY try and consider what they’re trying to communicate to you and use it to benefit yourself.

I’m sure if you just apologized to certain individuals in this thread (and the calgary thread) everyone would be willing to put the past where it belongs and you could probably feel a lot better about everything in the process

I haven’t read everything, I’ll have to go back, but heres what I do know.

I called both HTGT near 8th st at 7:05ish. Neither of them had heard anything about someone renting out the place, and no one named Ric was there. After this I of course did not show up…why would I? If someone had said ‘yea some guy here rented out the room to play street fighter’ I would’ve come down. Ric made the challenge and claimed he would set everything up, he evidently failed to do so and pussied out of his own challenge, hense I did not waste my time going down.

Ric is certainly not ‘tracking my ip’. I don’t know much about this but I’m sure to track me through these forums he’d need to hack into the forums servers…and we all know he isn’t smart enough for that. He did pm me a bunch of sketchy links to him ‘fighting valle’ which I of course did not click on. I can only assume this was his attempt to ‘track my ip’. I find this claim of his particularly hilarious. I’m sure anyone who knows ric knows he’s not smart enough to pull something like that off.

I definitely have lived in saskatoon/regina my whole life, and would gladly come to any casual gaming get together which ric was not a part of, time permitting.

Awhile ago I said the Canada Cup community was free, but I was wrong because some people in that community are pretty cool and very nice. What I should have said instead is that the majority of that community are free and complete retards…and here is why (read comments for more insight).

Ricardo Aguilera The majority of that community (again not talking about every member) are complete . Now I dont say ""in the literal sense but more in the sense that they are cowards and gossips. They spew essays of contempt against me but not because of any direct personal confrontations, but instead because of completely unrelated events that have nothing to do with them.

They gossip because it gives them some form of relevance in a community they otherwise would never have a presence in due to there poor level of skill. In addition to being gosspis however they are also the worlds biggest cowards. Iv’e read… the diatribes put forth agaisnt me by them and the funny thing to note is that none of these people would ever dare to say these things to my face. Instead they will only speak from the comforts of home or thousand of miles away…but each time I’ve been to a Canada Cup event I never had anyone approach me. The only time they will speak to me is when Im thousand of miles away and behind a computer.

They also live vicariously through the better members of the community and engage in activities I would call"dick riding"or"ball licking". Combined with"gossiping", these 2 activites provide a purpose and function for these people within th…e context of the community. Also because these people aren’t good players on there own right, they assume a association with better players will somehow allow for a transference of skill which results in them thinking they are far better then they are. This creates a undeserved egotism in them and they become incredibly defensive and highly irrational whenever they lose or are revealed to be bad players.

In conclusion, this community can shit talk me all they want because none of them will ever do it in person…like I said they are nothing more then a bunch of cowardly gossips who are bad at the game and live through other people to feel important. Big props to sam,brian and troy for being real and honest people and thank you SRK forums for showing me the kind of community this really is:)

I also asked everyone I know who was apart of the arcade community in sask years ago(which is where he claims he played and was told he was better then me)and no one has ever heard of anyone matching his description. Also just for fun I was able to track his ip with the help of my friend who is a senior programmer of a forbes 500 company and saw that he’s not from sask. In other words I got what i needed to figure out who the sock was and now I do, so im done and moving on.

Shouldn’t admitting something like this (laughably wrong or not) be like, an immediate, perma-ban?

I’m pretty sure tracking the IP addresses of people on the forum to find out where they live is reason enough to remove him from the site.
